Julius - thank you for the Nautilus tutorials! I bought the Nautilus a year ago. All of my previous keyboard experience was playing an acoustic piano. Needless to say a steep learning curve for me. I find your Nautilus tutorials very helpful and really helped me do things that I wanted to do but had no idea of where to find the parameters in the software menu. Nautilus is quite powerful but it's almost too much to absorb thru a touch screen menu. You have helped immensely. Looking forward to future Nautilus videos. Regards, 😎

Hello Julius, A big thank you for your tutorials. I bought a Nautilus a year ago and while is this a great keyboard with a lot of option “usability” seemed not to be the first and foremost goal when some gentlemen in Japan programmed the user interface. Your tutorials helped me a lot to get along much better. So please continue to offer these tutorials. Regards from Heidelberg in Germany, Kai P.S.: Have you ever found out, whether there is an option to control the drawbars of the Nautilius organ presets with an external controller?
@JuliusDeBerryJr2 жыл бұрын
No option for drawbars that I know of yet. I am working on some options for CX3 control. But nothing yet. Stay connected. I'll post for sure when/if I get it ready.

Awesome information Julius !👍 When I bought my Nautilus, I also had to buy a new sustain pedal. It was way too old and I had to manually change reverse settings to get it to sustain, such a pain. Been Looking for an excuse to go buy another pedal at least, and changing leslie speeds on foot switch is exactly the thing. Don't like taking my hands off keys much and much prefer foot switches 😉Any tips on what to buy ?

Depending on your budget... Yamaha makes a great one and it's not much more than the mgear one... You aren't in the US right? So no access to guitar center... So may be best to stick with the Yamaha. FC4 I think.

UPDATE - I never knew you had so much content. About 3 months ago I had to let go of a faulty Nautilus, It kept freezing up on me. Now I don't know what to do... get another Nautilus or get the now discontinued Kronos?... I really love the Nautilus and I find the piano sounds second-to-none. I love the Yamaha Montage for other things but I feel the Korg's piano sounds are superior!
@JuliusDeBerryJr2 жыл бұрын
I'm trying hard man. Lol. Thanks for noticing! 😆. . Well do you use piano sounds more or other stuff? And which is a high priority to you? I think it's easier to find other sounds to fill voids than it is to find the "right" piano. Kronos is hard to turn your head from (at least for me)... But Nautilus is a very close relative. If all you want is the sounds at a super great price and you can get around missing some of the interface controls... Then the Nautilus is a no brainer. 🎶🎶🎶🎶

@@JuliusDeBerryJr Yes, I can imagine it's a lot harder than it looks! I personally wouldn't have patients to upload videos as you do lol, I thank you for taking the time to do it. Most people just take all these videos for granted but don't understand the time and dedication it takes! Yes - I play piano a lot so a good-sounding piano and electric piano are important to me. I am really an organist, I have a Roland Atelier 900 Platinum which is a wonderful organ and you can do things on an organ that you would find almost impossible on any keyboard! However - I love modern synth stuff too and when I had the Nautilus ... well, the best keyboard I ever owned, with the Kronos now discontinued I think the Nautilus is the best way to go. I already bought a pair of Focal Shape Twin Monitor speakers which are just phenomenal so now I need to get a new board... later down the line I want to also get a Montage.... it is tough!

Yeah it's definitely hard to decide. Thanks about the kind words. And yes creating content is very time consuming. But I love doing it. I just want it to grow. People enjoying the content, helps to makes it all worth it.

Hello Julius, Thank you for your tutorials. I bought a Nautilus a year ago and your videos have really helped me get around and really learn the keyboard. I do have a question though; Can you use a pedal to cycle through scenes and setlist presets?
@JuliusDeBerryJr Жыл бұрын
Yes you can. I can add this to the list of upcoming videos. It's pretty easy though. Just have to assign the pedal to it. I'm not sure off the top of my head which menu it is. But I can find out when I get home.

Cool! I found this out myself a couple day ago, its a great Trick! Can you show, how to get an Expression Pedal in a Combination for just one Programm, so the whole Sound doenst get shut off, just the one, I want to?
@JuliusDeBerryJr Жыл бұрын
Yes it's in the midi filter... You have to filter out the expression pedal on whatever channels you don't want it on.
@JuliusDeBerryJr Жыл бұрын
I can make a quick video about it.

I have been trying with no luck. How to do this on a Korg Kronos?

The concept is the exact same. Just maybe some variances in the menu.

is there a way to have the sustain pedal do sustain for pianos but Leslie speed on CS3 programs

In the same combi? Yes. Should be!

I can try and address this in a quick video.

No just in general. Have a Nord electro that has this feature built in. Just don't want to have 3 pedals on stage sustain, rotary speed and a Wah or expression pedal@@JuliusDeBerryJr
