Perfect Analog Strings and one of the best analog synths in history (in my opinion). Gotta love that classic Triple-Line BBD Chorus Ensemble! My favorite synth that I'll cherish forever.

This video gives a hint at what effects can do with even a very simple source sound. At its heart, the PolySix is a simple 1-VCOper voice synth, but if you add LFO, chorus and reverb, you can get something magical. For anybody out there just getting into making music with a daw, start with a very simple, boring even, synth tone, record a simple phrase, then loop it for repeated playback, and each time it plays back just experiment with all the effects you have, just to see what they do.

@@stevehofer3482 In all honesty, you simply can't play a Polysix without some sort of outboard efx. For me, it's delay and phaser. Absolutely beautiful.

I like the polysix strings but it doesnt sound like an analog string like a solina or a rs505. Its definately got it's own character.

Agreed. But for a polysynth and the triple line BBD, it's spot to pretty much any 70s string machine. And with the addition of the envelope, you get some really nice attacks and releases.

@@pfmdude I have a polysix string multisample for my akais and it sound s good but it's slightly different than the strings I get on my polysix. Which is weird. 😁

I will try to get both polysixes in a composition some time. 😁

I saw you had bought the RS-09/SA-09 on a comment. What do you think of them? Have watched a ton of videos as well :)
@chedda55877 жыл бұрын
SA-09 and RS-09 Are the same synths... It's confusing. Just labelled differently (some saturns say rs-09 too... weird right?) Could you make some videos on it? I can't find any high quality videos anywhere on youtube, and would really like a better look. Thanks! :)

Thank you!!! No problem :)

I am not sure if its because the String sound has a very long Release-Time, or the Reverb- has a very long tail, but when playing the chords (at the start) they have a tendency to 'mush' into each other (ie. so that the chords 'clash').

How did you get the Pitch-Wheel to stick?!
@monsterjazzlicks7 жыл бұрын
I never knew that about the Pitch-Wheel! It would have been good if you had made a demo of an A/B comparison. So one before the Cathedral FX and then one with using it. Its a good sound though!, but just a bot too 'mushy'. Cheers.
