KORG "RADIAS" : Sound Check (No Talking)

KORG "RADIAS"
From 2007 to 2012, I often used it live as a substitute for the Minimoog.
Using the "Minimoog" live is very risky, but "RADIAS" is durable and sounds good.
I've used it for the first time in a while, but I felt that it could still be used even now, depending on the tone editing.
In this video, I play short phrases while switching tones one after another.
It's a mix of factory presets and my custom tones.

2007年〜2012年頃に、ライブで『Minimoog』の代用品としてよく使っていました。
『Minimoog』をライブで使用するのは非常にリスクが高いですが、『RADIAS』は丈夫で音抜けも良く重宝しました。
久しぶりに引っ張り出してきましたが、音色のエディット次第では、現在でもまだまだ使えるなと感じました。
この動画では、音色を次々と切り替えながら短いフレーズを弾いています。
演奏自体は適当ですのでご了承くださいませ。
音色は、ファクトリー・プリセットと自分でカスタムした音色が混在しています。

I have the Korg M3 with the Radias board. I think I'll put it to use again. Thanks for the video! I think the sound can still keep up with modern virtual synthesizers today

Thank you so much !! These patches are mostly slightly modified factory presets. A simple Minimoog-like sound can be created by layering sawtooth waves.

They're from the same manufacturer, so they sound similar. KingKORG has a completely different vacuum tube sound.

@@ita-shin yeah I watched the movie, "the black phone" for the first time the other day and remember wondering how the people who did the songs for the movie made the track in the scene where the girl thinks she figures out where her brother is being kept and then a few days later I'm looking into some old synths I used to like that I would like to get my hands on and I came across this video and immediately recognized that preset sound lol. I was like, "where did I hear this? Oh yes, the black phone lol. Now I know how they made that cool sound I was curious about." What are the odds that I would within a few days figure it out?

Do you prefer this one or the Arturia origin?

For me, both are my favorite synths and have been owning for many years. "Arturia Origin" is a fat sound and looks good, but it can be difficult to edit the sound. "KORG RADIAS" has a variety of sounds, and I think that the operation can be intuitively. I like the sound of "Arturia Origin" purely.

Hi !! I don't have a Yamaha MX 61, but... How about combining oscillator sync sounds, wah and distortion effects? Then assign the effect to pitch bend or modulation. And most importantly, play like Derek Sherinian!

Thank you so much !! I used the Digital Performer for recording. I think it was recorded at 96Khz, but the sound quality is a bit degraded on KZbin.

Really nice video! Really shows off the versatility of the Radias. I own a Microkorg XL - same engine but cut down in features - and it surprises me how good the analog emulation is. With the flexible oscillators and dual filters, all of which are extremely good-sounding, it surprises me how much ground it covers and how close you can get to legendary classic synths.
