Awesome tune! Sounds great! Just a question, how do you connect and record the Korg S-v1 to a DAW and record sound? I cant seem to know what cables to use and what settings :(

Hi Jerick. Greetings, and thank you for your kind words. :) Well, because the SV-1 has both XLR & Jack outputs, you have two options. For recording into a DAW, as long as you go stereo (L+R), then it doesn't really matter which way you go. I usually do XLR for home recordings as my soundcard's Jack inputs are on the back, & I've got an XLR snake set up in my studio with already connected cables for ease of use. (Laziness prevails everytime)! Once you've recorded, pan the L channel all the way left, and the R channel all the way right, and you'll have yourself a nicely balanced, recorded SV-1! Hope this helps :)

Hello, i just wanted to know were you learned to play clavinet and rhoades and organ techniques I mean the thing that make them sound like clavinet or rhoades, i'm really struggling to find a good teacher

Hi there Arshia! Erm, I haven't any formal teaching on those sorts of techniques really. It's been a whole lot of watching/listening to other players (mainly videos on KZbin of the greats), and then just trying different things out, playing as much as I can! I'm still learning and listening, every day, and theres still much yet I wish to conker. Good luck, keep listening, keep playing, and play along to your favorite records, and it'll come! 🎹

What were you playing when you had the wah wah going? That was awesome! I'm getting the sv-1 pretty soon, I wanted the reverse black and red but I can't find one in 88 key for a decent price when compared to the standard sv-1. Where did you get yours?

Thank you for the kind words :) The first bit was the start of 'Higher Ground' by Stevie Wonder, and the rest was a bit of 'Outta Space' by Billy Preston. The SV1 is a fantastic instrument and great bit of kit. The 88 key version was very tempting, but I take this one out gigging, so the 73 key is ample enough. I've also got the luxury of an 88 key digital piano, so I've got the best of both worlds!

+Mason Bobasin Very well indeed....as you would expect from a mechanical piano really, and to be honest, probably a sniff better! I got my SV1 from my local music shop (PMT in Norwich).

Great instrument isn't it?! Its just an improvisation around the C blues scale, and the bass line derived from the root chords, played broken up. Basically a variation upon the 12 bar blues.
