Korg Volca Beats & Sample, Synthstrom Deluge, Line 6 M5

In this one I'm gating the volca beats and the volca sample using the input of the synthstrom deluge. The clock for the volcas is comes from a gate track on the deluge, so I can mess with the clock on the fly. The bass is played by the deluge's internal synth.
Halfway through the video I explain how the gating works with a little more detail.

I love how the Deluge is almost never filmed in a synth dungeon. probably the #1 outdoor synth.

Yes you're right, deluge people sure must have a better tan than the regular synth guy:)

Yes, I have to add though it seems to be pretty intense on the cpu. With a bunch of other stuff going on I ran into problems rather quickly.

Nice groove! As I can see M5 is MIDI synced to Deluge, suppose to receive midi clock. Did you have any problems syncing BPM with M5? Any noticeable drifts or jitter from M5?

No, haven't had any sync problems/messy delays with it so far. I haven't used it all that often in this sort of setup though. Might also depend on the clock that gets fed into it.

That's really cool, man! One question, when in tap tempo mode, which note values does the M5 provide for delay times? Could you list them? Thanks!

From the top of my head I'd say anything you could possibly desire. from 32nds to half notes with all triplets and dotted notes in between. Check the manual though if you want to be absolutely sure.

@@jorgeuribera Oh ok, I don't have it with me right now but I'll check for you and will get back to you shortly. Would I recommend it? Depends on what you want to use it for. I don't like most of the distortion/overdrive, the synth/filter stuff is fun for 5 minutes but not really of any use in real life. The modulation fx are fine but sometimes seem to suck the life out of things a bit, there are some decent reverbs and the delays are great imo. Bottom line I guess I would recommend it because it's inexpensive, stereo and a great pedal to have lying around to fill the gap of whatever it is you need at the moment.

@@jorgeuribera Yeah, then I think it's a good choice. I checked: the available time divisions range from 64ths to whole notes with all dotted notes and triplets in between.
