Just purchased Vol 3 to go with Vol 1 & 2. As far as I'm concerned your the foremost third-party sound design specialist for the Wavestate as of this writing. Excellent sound design Marc! Thank you for making your work affordable as well. Much appreciated, and I look forward to what else you have in store for everyone :)

Hey Marc I am new to your channel new subscriber as I have just purchased a wavestate and I am truly amazed at what it does and is capable of. I am sure at some point I will be purchasing some of the great sounds you have programmed so I will take a bit of time to learn it's depths. Keep up the great work and effort you put into creating new sounds.

This thing is a lot like a NDLR... except it's much much deeper, and everything is built in instead of requiring external audio sources. Cool gear, but it seems like it takes a lot of work to build motifs on it. I haven't seen many people dive in anywhere near as far as you have.

hello, do you recommend this synth for trance music productions? does it have so many leads, bass, pluck?
@Angelstarscotland4 жыл бұрын
I reckon it would be quite capable for trance music especially for the breakdown sections.

@@Angelstarscotland I understand, the thing I always liked to have are excellent leads, bass, pluck, I hope this synth has enough to satisfy my personal needs.

@@gexcube1981 I'd say the best hardware synth on the market if you only do trance music is the Waldorf Kyra.
@Angelstarscotland4 жыл бұрын
@@gexcube1981 The Wavestate is very capable of bass, pluck and leads etc but I'd say where it excels is motion pad sounds.
@metaspherz4 жыл бұрын
@@Angelstarscotland I agree but at $2300 the Kyra is geared more towards the professional with deep pockets. The Wavestate, however, is more affordable and still fully capable of Trance, Ambient, and other genres as well.

How many programs can the wavestate hold?
@Angelstarscotland3 жыл бұрын
I believe it’s approximately 4000 performances
@johndean58603 жыл бұрын
@@Angelstarscotland understood about the performances but the programs am I limited to the 700 onboard presets or can I expand on that as well?
@Angelstarscotland3 жыл бұрын
@@johndean5860 you absolutely can expand the programs too. I save all 4 layers of each performance as separate programs so people can mix and match to make there own performances. You can also save complete wave sequences or the individual lanes of the wave sequence.

Curious how the 4 layers transmit to midi? Can they be separated out in a DAW?
@Angelstarscotland4 жыл бұрын
I think they can but I’ll check and get back to you
@Angelstarscotland4 жыл бұрын
hey tim I’ve just checked the 4 layers can either be set to a global midi channel or individually set to receive midi on different midi channels . So the answer to your question is yes, you can use it as a 4 part multi-timberal sound module if you wish.
@TimDanyo4 жыл бұрын
Angelstar Scotland that is dope my friend. Unbelievable flexibility. This synth is what I’ve wanted for so long! Thanks for checking! Subbin up brother!
@jjrusy74384 жыл бұрын
Hi, i have more MIDI info. you can clock the wavestate but still play the wavestate keyboard by changing the global MIDI ch to something other than what the controller is sending and leave the clock on "auto". I'm sitting here right now playing the WS with global on ch2 while cranking the tempo knob on the korg krome used as a controller. krome global is left on ch 1 so the notes dont go. This is in case you want to sync its rhythm but maybe play it solo or w/e. HTH. BTW, turning off global MIDI for the layer disables the keyboard and really makes it a sound module lol. or you can make a couple layers external(global OFF, pick a channel) and leave a couple internal(global ON, listens/sends on w/e channel is set as global) to really split up the wavestate, you can even run a module from it while it is being run by something else ....crazy... (I just tested this on an UNO synth with clock on external and set to a different channel. works great, latch the UNO ARP from the UNO and crank the krome tempo knob ). PS waveformer(youtuber) is working on an app to map the mod knobs to a novation circuit..check his channel out, he just got a wavestate too.
