I recently joined some missionaries from our church to go have some discussions at a house full of drug addicts in a program trying to get clean. one of them shared his testimony of Jesus Christ and it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. he shared a story where it was winter here in Michigan and he was high on meth. he decided to walk from one city to another out in the freezing cold without a coat. somewhere on his journey he realized that he was going to freeze to death very soon if he didn't get any help, so he was going to stop at the next house and ask for help even if it meant they would call the cops on him. well he didn't make it to that house. he fell into a ditch on the side of the road that had no traffic on it and it was snowing. the snow was even starting to cover him up and he remembered his mother teaching him as a kid that if you are ever in trouble, call upon the name of Jesus Christ to help you. so that's exactly what he did. he said not 5 minutes went by when he suddenly felt someone grab him and pull him out of the ditch. this was an officer on patrol and he put him in the back of his patrol car. then the officer got in the front seat, shut the door and started crying. the officer then told my friend that he literally never patrols this road which has very little on it, but as he was driving by it, something told him to turn down this road to check. this officer was so grateful that he listened to this prompting. my friend then looked at us and said, "you will never be able to convince me that Jesus Christ is not real". we were all in tears when he told this story, and I am in tears again while writing it here.

I had lost my faith and doubted in God. Then one day, he spoke to me in a dream. He appeared as a ball of light/sun as I was in a field and he told me that He does exist. When I woke up, I had the most wonderful sense of peace that I you could imagine...I wish everyone would experience it. I’m not perfect, even after that experience; sometimes I still blame God when things go wrong. But, now I know that He’s with me and He has a plan that only He understands....you have to have stronger faith than what I’ve had.

When God's mercy comes, remember Paul's words: "Therefore, come out from among them, and be ye separate, said the Lord. Touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you."

I am SO GRATEFUL this experience was aired, and it COVERED ESSENTIAL THINGS ABOUT ETERNAL LIFE & DEATH! This man was RESCUED by Yeshua ("Jesus the Christ" in modern English) DIRECTLY FROM a life in one of the enemy's clear strongholds, with many chains & torment! What did he spend his first year doing? HE REPENTED OF EVERYTHING THE LORD BROUGHT TO MIND FOR A YEAR! How have we in the West forgotten that if we would merely read the Gospel of Matthew, we see John the Baptist preaching REPENTANCE, to make way for Yeshua HaMashiach... is he just an "Old Testament Remnant"? NO! After being tempted, Yeshua returned and was told John had been imprisoned. What were the first words of His public ministry? He went to Zebulon & Naphthali to fulfill that which was Prophecied in Isaiah, preaching, "REPENT, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!", making clear that God didn't change! If we read 1 John & Galatians, we know we never outgrow our need for the Cross. Yet IF WE ARE HIS, we rejoice in repentance, righteousness, and forgiveness -- of ourselves AND others! This man KNEW AND LIVED this IMMEDIATELY! And it was covered well! I wish at the end that the interviewer, who seems a wonderful man of God, had not left things at the "Just ask" "gospel", when they had both preached the fruit of Repentance wonderfully! It's not optional, even though we surely never realize our full sinfulness, if we examine our hearts. *Clearly turning to God* is a part of the process that, if skipped, leaves people reasonably wondering, "Where is God?" That is the *key that turns the ignition of Grace* & BEAUTIFULLY transformed this man's life, incrementally! Welcome to the Family, Brother!

Christ also said that we need to be amount the sinners because I'd we weren't, his message wouldn't be spread. We need to come out from them in spirit,and be separate is spirit. That way we can be the light for others.

Korn has been one of my favorites since the 90’s. I’m a rock chick for sure. It’s hard for people to believe, because of my choice in music; but I’ve been a Christian my whole life. Being a Christian doesn’t mean you’re perfect. It means you’re forgiven for imperfection, because you know the mistakes and asked. I’m ecstatic over fieldy and Brian’s conversion. That world can be devious, but the music is a release, an outlet. I don’t need to hear lyrics, really, those guitars “refresh” me, and Jesus heals me. God refreshes, sure, but there are times when your imperfections are beginning to take over, and listening to a loud, favorite guitar riff is a sort of meditative outlet, that puts my mind back on Jesus. I cannot explain it really, but any Christian that also still listens to rock music, or any non-religious music, will understand.

I've helped children with there homework, study for tests, develop and present their projects. I have helped recovering addicts, built homes with habitat for humanity, donated money, donated nice clothes not just hand me downs or clothes that were completely worn down. I've done many things all without an incentive like going to heaven or God will love me. I don't care about that, I care about helping. Science and man do have the answers and have made progress. What have you done to contribute?

I myself are a musician who has proudly excepted jesus! This is wonderful news. Korn is one of my favorites. Nobody should judge him. That's The Lord's job. Even jesus walked among sinners, giving them hope, and giving them love. This may be what Fieldy is suppose to do for now. He's our brother now! We all grow in jesus and he leads us. No time for judging! " He who is with no sin, cast the first stone!" Right on Fieldy! Praise God!!

i have nothing against religious people and religion in common. It just don't work for me. But i'm glad to see that people get a happier life because of it. Religion can be helpful but also causing problems. Some extremists just go nuts in my opinion. But if you are rational and sensible person i think it's great. :-)

***** From a very atheist person, I must say its nice to hear a "believer" say this. Religion is when belief turns into sheparding minds. I dont really care what people believe in books. Just dont go giving people all your money and power in the name of it. Stop letting preachers tell you what to believe. On Sunday, skip church, just pick that book up and read it yourself. Good luck trying not to stumble on the goofy/ridiculous/contradictory/disgusting/cruel parts

I knew was on the way of death and hell, a thief, a fighter, a adulterer, a rebellious to parents, a God of Hater. But when I heard a word from the Lord that He Loves me so much, proving its Love. He Jesus Christ died for my transgressions and then was resurrected. It’s been 12 years ago when I called upon His Name for the remission of my sins, at the same moment I received forgiveness and the Holy Spirita and since I then till now I live righteously waiting for his coming. I announce to others the same. But I have forsaken everything, absolutely everything, left to follow Jesus Christ. Friends, sex, fiancé , music, Alcohol, Cigarettes, status absolutely everything! Just to fallow The Lord, Jesus Christ, all I need!

When I hear people say drugs and alcohol it just sounds strange to me. It's like saying tacos and Tex-Mex. They are the same . Alcohol is a powerful drug. Having trouble with drugs and alcohol is having a drug problem. If you have a drinking problem, you have a drug problem.
@SEHall-zt5dz5 жыл бұрын
True. Booze is one of the worse drugs out there. I used to shoot Meth, take opiates, mess around with coke/crack, drop Acid, drop Molly, smoke weed, etc. and IMO none of those things got me nearly as dissociated with reality and who I was as a person as alcohol. Also, the mere withdrawal itself can actually kill u. Not many drugs can do that. Opiate withdrawal might seem like hell but you'll never have to worry bout dying from the WD itself. I think its a societal thing. Drinking is legal and socially acceptable. It's also one of the oldest intoxicants in the world. You can't put it in a stem and smoke it. You can't rig it up and shoot it (I mean you can but its not gonna do anything). You can't chop a line out of it and snort it. You can only pretty much drink it. So for these reasons its seems to ne distinguished from other drugs, but i agree with u totally.
@rebel81145 жыл бұрын
You cracked me up. I've been through pretty much all drugs. Friends and family are starting to die from alcohol, on all sides. I almost died from ammonia. Withdrawal in a hospital for a week. Don't drink. If you want a buzz, herbal smoke. I'm in Texas so I can't because it's illegal. Yup.

This is in response to Nikolai. Its not just "religion" that has extremist people. Non-believers also have an insane amount of extremists that crucify people for believing what they believe. A person has every right to believe what they believe. Being "non-religious" can be helpful but also cause problems as well. It has nothing to do with what a person believes it has everything to do with their empathy. I pray that everyone comes to know Christ and lets them into their heart but everyone has been given a mind to be used to their own free will and I know that not everyone will come to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior.
