Music is music, no matter the age of when it was produced, or even how old the artists become. If it's good, it stays good and someone from the next Generation will enjoy it as well. I was 14 or 15yo when Korn's self-titled album came out way back in 1994, now I'm about to turn 43yo and still listen to this album. Hell, I still regularly listen to CCR, and that's from back in my dads era of the 60s-very early 70s, so music is music. As long as they, or anyone else, can still get up there, play and sing, I'll still watch a great band perform...even if they're in a Rascal motorized chair, or even using a walker or cane to get around! Lol. 😵💫

"Korn Kid" since 7th grade (1998)!! I'm old enough to remember when "Follow The Leader" came out and "Freak On A Leash" was in heavy rotation on MTV. Korn wasn't just a band. They were a revolution. Proud to say I have almost every studio album....except "The Nothing", no clue how I missed it but I'll be rectifying that soon. Not that I wasn't aware of the album I just wasn't buying many CDs at the time and I'm still not mostly cause of the convenience of streaming. However KORN will ALWAYS be the exception. Anyway, I've also seen them in concert twice and my proudest moment as a Korn fan was the day I actually met Jonathan Davis and got his autograph at Rock On The Range back in 2011. Funny, down to earth, totally normal dude. I remember shaking his hand, asking him if he was "ready to rock" (like on the "Deuce" DVD) which got a chuckle, and then I thanked him for he and Korn themselves being amazing in so many ways. Korn is FOREVER!! JD might be over 50 but he continues to be a pioneer and a true artist. Never stop, brother. "ARE YOU READY?!?"

I love the band, specially the old korn from the 90´s. I remember I was in 7th grade when they released follow the leader. I went to a music store with my bf to purchase the cd, it was incredible. We finished school and I lost contact with my bf Xavier. A couple of years later there was an earthquake in my country and I saw in the news Xavier´s neighborhood was devastated and also I read in the newspaper his name and his sister´s name, they both had been burried by a landslide and passed away. Everytime I listen to the band I remember the good times but it makes me feel a little depressed.

I was born in mainland China where western music was rarely imported in the 90s. I still remember the first time I listened to Korn it should be the 2002's album Untouchable. During that time Nu-Metal and Garage-revival is the most popular. The one who loves EMO will be laughed as Pussy…But now I'm a 32 years old man and could hardly believe the last time I bought a record it should be 5 years ago…Time flies , to be frank I really miss the early 2000,Eminem, linkin park, Moby, Pj Harvey, The libertines……

The mosh pits were extreme, the weed filled the air, the beer kept flowing, the bass drum pounding through your chest, and the women in tight shorts and tank tops. Well, it was meant to happen: some musicians "suddenly" get older and their transformation is a pretty big one. Jonathan Davis, ICS Vortex (Top 10, in my opinion), Dave Mustaine (addicts usually live less and develop premature aging, he looked 70 when he was 50), Ozzy Osbourne (due to his actual illness), Marilyn Manson and a long list. Seeing how they get older as we all do, and then you remember your favorite band hits the 20-30-40 year tag, brings one of the weirdest feelings ever. Seriously.
@gagelindell2712 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Davis looks like he doesnt care at all anymore. If that was singing, I have lost faith. Luckily, im going to see Tool in 2 weeks. They still bring it with passion.
