No doubt about Dupont.IMO Lukhno Am was probably the best 13 in the world before his injury. Don't rate Itoje so highly that he should be in the top 10. There are at least 3 locks who are better than him.

@@davidhughes8795 The Countries in the North more the 4 home Nations I won't include France or Italy actually just Ireland. I have had run ins with "THEM" before. where the one's I was commenting with didn't think our Super Rugby Pasifika Competition, Or our Rugby Championship was where the best players come from. Despite 8 RWC titles having been won, by 3 SH Countries, I will acknowledge the fan base in the North is huge but we are the ones winning the RWC where the Majority of Rugby World Champions come from. This was the basis of my side of the debate. they wouldn't have a bar of it, could only remind me we lost a Test Series to Ireland to justify themselves. That is why it is important to us to meet up with Ireland at the RWC QF for our Redemption. Hope you understand we need to beat Ireland and get our mana back. if we accomplish that, we're going for the Cup. We actually need South Africa to finish in the same position as us, so we get Ireland. That's the plan only in my head and silence the Irish Supporters, That's just how we roll.

Itoje isn’t anywhere near Top10 Flament, Beirne, Ryan, Meafou, Skelton, Snyman off the top of my head are all better than him and that’s just taking in locks.

Will Jordan needs to be on this list he is unbelievable and Dalton Papalii, Caelon Dorris arguably after Dupont the most inform player in the world last season itoje is an amazing talent but on form does not deserve to be in top 10 Etzebeth is probably the same. you could throw Flament into the equation for this list. Kurt Lee-Arendse has been better than Kolbe for the guts of this year

Also don't agree with the list. Shouldn't have Itoje, Etzebeth, or Kolisi in there for starts, Itoje has been so inconsistent and is out of form (same for Tadgh Furlong as well recently but they're both still immense). Etzebeth and Kolisi have been injured for most of the season and Kolisi is still injured. Could have had Richie Mo'unga or Owen Farrel in there instead. Could've also included either Hugo Keenan or Ramos for a full back as they're both easily the best in the world in their position. Would've picked Will Jordan or Arandse ahead of Kolbe as well. But at this point I'm nit picking

almost impossible to make a top 10 in a sport where the skill sets are so different from positions. you can certainly make a dream team of a full rooster though and I would retain 6 or 7 of your top 10, starter and bench combined.

The NH don't regard a World Player of the year 2016-17 and nominee 2018 who I considered was way the better player than overrated Johnny Sexton as player of the year in 2018 & Owen Farrell because Beauden Barrett can play 10, 12 & 15. Many consider Beauden has an edge over both NH players. And Cheslin Kolbe, was nominated in 2019 & won Player of the year 2021. My opinion and many in the SH these two players would smoke Sexton & Farrell.

Itoje's level has been going down since the last WC is no longer a top3 lock. Kolbe is still great but he missed a lot of games during his time at Toulon. Will Jordan & Beauden Barett should be in this top10 instead, not necessarly at the same rankings.

If your wondering why Am and Kolisi aren’t in my list it is because they haven’t exactly performed to their standards in the last couple of months- plus they have both been out for a while during the season. I still put Will Jordan tho even tho he has been injured because we all saw what he is capable of doing even if he’s been out for months against SA

Perhaps for 2022 but even then, not very accurate. For Itoje 2023 probably his worst year. L. AM was injured most of the year and has not been back to his best. We hope to see him back to the force he is. Sexton must be up there. Jordie Barret ??
