Korone's Needlessly Epic Boss Battle Against Birdo in Mario 2 (Inugami Korone/Hololive) [ENG SUB]

Korone fights multiple battles against the enemy, herself, and the console itself!
Couple translation things:
The "wasting food" ghosts (もったいないお化け) are from an old 80s Japanese PSA commercial telling kids that if they don't finish their dinner, the "wasting food" ghosts will come.
The "lump in its throat" is Korone saying Birdo spit out an ehenmushi (エヘン虫), which is similar to having a frog in your throat. There was a commerical in Japan that had the ehenmushi depicted looking somewhat similar to Birdo's fireball. Google image search エヘン虫 to see what I mean.

@@GeorgeMonet It's because of science. It is a known fact that your reflexes slow as you get older. A child's reflexes are nearly immediate, while as one gets closer into adulthood and beyond, your reaction time dims a microsecond every 5 years or so.

The brain loses plasticity with time also, so the older you get the harder it is to learn new gameplay mechanics. I am pretty good at games but I only played FPSs after 20 so I will never be as good as people who play since they were kids.

Thanks again for the translations! While the video is still new, I'd like to ask, is there any way to unite the VTuber translators under one group, like one big Reddit group? Or make a channel that everyone uploads their videos to? That way, translators could get more views and it would be easier for fans to find videos of their favorite VTubers (since some fans don't even know certain smaller translators even exist). I'd be glad to help if I could, it's sad that many Korone fans don't even know about this channel and many other translating channels due to them being so small.

Personally, I'm just doing this as a hobby and am not really interested in working with other people. I'm sure there are other similar cases. There are channels that have whole teams working on videos, though. You can follow @VTuberNotifs on Twitter; they tweet out new videos from a comprehensive list of Vtuber translators.

I'm sure you could probably make a subreddit that has a bot that posts everything from the same list as that person uses, or reposts their tweets automatically or something. Maybe try getting in touch with them. I learned and continue to learn Japanese through self-study over a long period of time. Started with some very basic lessons from a friend's mom, then just doing stuff like learning kana, reading language books, etc. After that, trying to read stuff like manga/webcomics in Japanese and trying to translate them. That really brought me along faster.

Apparently she doesn't know the trick where you're invulnerable for a few seconds while you pickup a mushroom block, of course that invulnerability time depends on how slow you pickup things. This is one of the benefits of playing as Peach. Her slow pickup speed gives her the longest invulnerability while picking up mushroom blocks, which is perfect for dealing with bosses.
