Koroni: The charming seaside village in Messinia, Peloponnese | Κορώνη, Μεσσηνία

This is the picturesque coastal town of Koroni in Messinia, Peloponnese. Koroni sits on the southwest peninsula of the Peloponnese on the Gulf of Messinia in southern Greece and located 56 km by road southwest of Kalamata. The town is nestled on a hill below a Venetian castle and reaches to the edge of the gulf.
Koroni is close to some of the most beautiful places in Messinia, Peloponnese. These include Kalamata, Methoni, Pylos, Foinikounta, Gialova and Voidokilia beach which is famous worldwide for its omega letter shaped beach and considered "A Place of Particular Natural Beauty".
