As a hobbyist blacksmith I can tell you, this song makes you less tired when swinging your hammer, makes your forge welds take on the first try and turns your steel into perfect projects and solid blades. 10/10 would use as forging fuel again.

It´s a spell. He is casting a spell on the blade. Basic message, "Iron, srike at the enemy, not your own people". Sounds like the lyrics are from Kalevala.

3:09 at the end there, i thought that was a decoration hanging from the chain on the door. Then i ended up going to finland and seeing that same thing around and realised it was a lock. So i had to have one, just because, and ended up going to K-Rauta (yes, rauta, a hardware store in finland) and incidentally ended up catching a Koriplaani gig a few weeks later in west finland. I'm pretty sure that was all fait.
"Iske! Iske!" Means "Hit! Hit" As of hitting the hot iron (rauta also means 'iron, blade, sword') with his hammer.

It just doesn't flow so well lyrically : (. The Finnish sounds perfect but English? not so much :p.

Exactly! The same goes for English verses in "Ruumiinmultaa". Strangely enough though, English chorus is way better than Finnish imo 🤔

There is nothing wrong about wanting to understand the lyrics but asking every song to be sung in English is plain stupid and show how narrow minded some people are.
