Kory you have created the most awesome tractor ever! Good job. Also love that you kept that foundry in American hands and its employees employed.. Nice.

this felt relatable in a magnificent way. I went to school to learn to do what i wanted to do since i was a little kid, make things. I was named after top fuel racers who retired to start their own engine machine shop and spending time at their shop 100% impacted my formative years, i loved that shit. I went through my life loving when i got to use my hands and make things but always followed the path that seemed to be expected of me. Graduated highschool, went to college thought i was gonna get a 4 year degree in engineering...well had a breakdown about 2.5 years in and said fuck it. I went and learned drafting and then said if i can draw it why not be able to make it and finally i was learning to make things like i wanted since i was old enough to talk. My earliest memories are car shows and touring industrial facilities and i wouldnt have it any other way. I've now been out of school in the machining industry loving what i do (almost) every day. The only thing that could make my life as i see it right now better would be if i could be making parts that i love. Making big engine parts, making repairs on steam locomotives like my buddy at the colorado railway museum, making the biggest most bad-ass parts i can make to keep the world turning. I mean no disrespect to what i make right now but i hope i can change my world here in the next few years and start to make things i love every day.

Hey kory you should look into making cast iron cookware. Lodge Manufactering here in Tennessee is one of the only foundries left in the USA and could use the competition 😜

I can't wait to see this I'm starting a business in miniature railroading wood working but will be buying machine shop equipment and manufacturing my own steam equipment from scratch, casting prototyping, and machining aswell as horse carriages and horse equipment what are your rates for cast parts so I can buy big stuff from your foundry

I grew up poor and have always struggled with bad breaks it seems, but after 48 years of pounding away at the same idea things seem to be taking shape. Been a hell of a grind to get this far, I hope I can make the next stretch. I'm not a steam guy, I'm into draft horses and farming and logging, but I appreciate all older technologies and the engineering behind them. I fabricate a lot of my own equipment and implements. Took a lot of machine shop and welding in high school and it sure comes in handy. For an idea of something to design and build using steam I'd suggest a portable steam auxiliary boiler/engine combo on either a trailer or a skid for job site use. Would require automated boiler feed water regulation, automatic firing, engines designed to run without constant oiling. Maintenance was what really ended the steam era, the labour was costing too much to justify, not enough uptime. If steam made economical sense the railroads would have kept using it. How to overcome these has never been solved in the steam motive power field. Horses no longer pull stagecoaches or freight wagons for the same reasons, it doesn't pencil out once you start calculations for upkeep and maintenance compared to the productivity. Scaled down to local city delivery they pencil out, transcontinental fast freight, not at all.

How do you order products from your company

Okay Korey - You are interested in railroads and steam engines. How about taking on the rebuild of the UP 3985 that Union Pacific is so callously dumping. It needs a guy like you to not only restore it but put it to work on a short line B railroad. You have the company necessary for the castings, and likely you have the machine shops to turn the castings into finished products. You did it with a 150 HP engine - go for 5 or 6000 HP and the second largest operational locomotive on steel rails. I would bet you could get that relic Big Boy over in Iowa and get it going if you set your mind to it. That is a real challenge - OH, Made in the USA - You bet. ALCO locomotives were the best of all engines ever built. Give UP a run for their money. I'd give most anything to be on a project like that. You are what the USA needs. Why have we given our manufacturing away to a nation that hates us and hopes some day to dominate the world. The natin that manufactures is the nation of power, wealth and prosperity. Look at the comments - you are an inspiration for all who have pride in this nation.

Inspiring story the background music and sound effects are not ! I think it greatly detracts from the video. Everyone thinks they need to add all that extra sound effects to make the video compelling I think it does the opposite.

Hey Kory, I say this because I’m a big fan, but you need to be careful with putting the Guinness world records logo on your thumbnail. They have been suing people lately for that.
