You know with how oil prices are going these days there might be a market for coal fired engines again, ehich while not as convenient are certainly better then anything electric

Sending out love from the Canadian praries. What a beautiful machine! Marvel of engineering for its time, even more impressive to see it perform as it was intended.

Pretty sure I heard that a Jim Ryden designed the hitch. My great uncle was named Jim Ryden, from Hallock, Minnesota. He passed a few years ago, don't think it's the same Jim Ryden. Along with his brother David, they both invented all kinds of farm stuff. At 16 years old, Jim built his own swather and the Oliver tractor company actually produced a few. I really love this stuff, thank you for making this!

150 Horsepower and about *~5,000 lb* ft of Torque!
@Bammer20017 күн бұрын
Gad, how much torque do you really need to pull on this plow? To me, it seems like the gears in the tractor itself must be very big.

I know nothing about steam engines or plowing but this was a damn good video! Very interesting seeing all the moving parts and so many people working together as one. This is the kind of America I love! When you see old men with scarred up knuckles and overalls, you know work is gonna get done. People like this built America and I wish more younger folks would learn from them instead of turning America into a brightly colored shit show. 😞

Choo Choo tractor. Wonder how this would do in a tractor pull competition? They probably wouldn't let it compete, calling it a train.

It blew my mind when I heard this Case 150 was built from the bottom up, and it's even more incredible that so many people saw the passion in that and worked together to bring it back to life. What a beautiful thing it turned out to be!😅

The definition of Steam is, an "invisible elastic gas". One of the most usable forms of energy on the planet, even in Nuclear Power Plants.

so is the limitation here the engineering or money to get more plows to pull? it clearly can pull more so why dick around and just see what the real record this thing can put out instead of milking it out. lets face it, there are plenty of machines out there more than capable of pulling this as well. may not be a tractor for say but they would do it
