One of the best changes the show did compare with how the events happened in real life was making Osman and Kosem so close because the family drama later on is one of the best conflicts in the show however they failed with that miserably in season 2

17:39 that's the second time that a haseki sultan sits on valide sultan throne. Only hurrem sultan and kosem sultan did that, because mihrimah sultan as valide sultan on Selim lived here so nurbanu couldn't, then there was nurbanu so safiye sultan couldn't, then safiye sultan so handan/halime (not hasekis) couldn't, now it's kosem sultan who just did and then Turhan also couldn't because valide sultan was there even as grand valide and lastly emetullah did while Turhan was alive and that because turhan.. left the palace or they sent her away

Although I understand what Kosem did to Humasah I disagree with it (forcing her to remain such a guy 🙁) I really liked her confrontation with Nasuh Pasha. Historically Kosem started taking care of Osman when he lose his mother but Ahmed disapproved of her and had him separated from Kosem. Very bad decision, if you want my opinion.

If I want to chose which sultana I would like be definiteli hurrem. kosem was god but more and more hungry for power. didn´t see her children as a children only what god for her. Hurrem was different, she loved her daugher, gave her education, she didn´t want choose whose son will be on throne. every of them was her children. she didn´t want to helped woman because because of her name. she even didn´t ecpect that like about kosem that woman came gaven to her hold. hurrem under kosem always.
