We Built FIGHTER JETS That Were TOO FAST For Dogfighting!

Welcome to another video and today I'm back in Trailmakers with @kANGaming to continue our co-op playthrough of the BRAND NEW Airborne expansion campaign! In this one kAN and I built new fighter jets with our newfound wings, but they ended up being way too fast for proper dogfighting! I guess speed isn't always the answer! two important tips: you will eventually need 32 chirpo seats, and the chirpo rescue exclamation point tells you exactly how many seats you need if you don't have enough.

So, some quick tips to fix your balloon if you so desire. In a plane, you want your center of lift to be in line but slightly behind the center of mass in the direction of travel, ideally with thrust aligned as well. In a blimp/dirigible setup, you want your lift to be above your center of mass, such that the forces of gravity act to stabilize it. As you added more mass on top, the center of mass is raised closer to the center of lift, meaning once it started rocking, it didn't want to try to stop it. You could also use active stabilization but, you know, effort.

You should do some testing or even a video trying to make a jet with rearward facing miniguns. It could even have a "rain fire" mode where it could hover vertically above it's target and fire directly down apon it.

2:21 that 'looft balloon' (Luftballon, literally 'air balloon') pronunciation is adorable ^^ That being said, it's rather a Heißluftballon (hot air balloon), pronounced similar to HEISenberg, a bit sharper though, since 'ß', the Eszett (es-zed) hence capitalized as SZ, is literally called 'sharp S'. The letter ß is btw a fusion of the now obsolete 'long S', ſ and Z, which looked similar to the 'tailed Z' (ʒ), when written in cursive, and has nothing to do with the capital letter B. You may recognize the long S as the integral symbol ∫, which comes from ſumma (summa, ie sum), since Leibniz was Saxon. All those esses have a shared history with another ess, the Old English letter Þ (thorn, originating from Germanic runes), that has been now substituted with the letter Y, like in 'Ye (or yͤ) Olde Shoppe', which is an anachronistic spelling of 'þe Olde' and is simply pronounced like 'The Old' (not 'Yee Old'), since it represents now the typical English th (θ or ð) sound, though in different dialects of the past and present, ß can sound also like ð or z or Þ or θ and vice versa, since again they're all esses, and it's not books that dictate language but You ^^

I think you will need a cargo blimp to whole more than 37 turbos and have a battle Zeppelin with a more than 37 mini guns or missiles variance.

Being too fast to hit things has been a genuine problem, (and likewise being too slow to hit a genuine strategy). Much less of a thing these days with missiles

Fun fact, the Lysander was an aircraft from ww2, and if was designed to be slow and highly manoeuvrable. The idea was that it would be so slow that enemy planes wouldn't be able to chase it or hit it before stalling from flying too slow
