Picking up a bolt as I can't ride sport bikes any more due to age and medical conditions. It is going to be my winter project. Day 1 items going on are TC Bros bars, forward control relocation brackets, slip on, intake, this meter, fender eliminator, license plate relocation and shipping the ECU to Ivan for a flash. After that it is chopped fender and a few other goodies. Eventually we are going to be machining a Harley springer front end to fit the bolt just to do something different. It pays to be surrounded by good fabricators. 😁

@@bgibbs699 hey could you tell me what's the story behind that death wooble on those bolts? I wanted to buy him as my first bike but im kinda scared this shit.
@bgibbs6993 жыл бұрын
@@Voltomess it's really not an issue. The main problem was with the factory tires. After changing to new tires, it seems to stop it. But it only ever happened if you were decelerating and completely let go of the bars and ride with no hands. Even with the bad tires I never could get the wobble unless I let go completely.

now got my Koso instrument. The strange thing that the speedometer shows way more speed than the reality. So I have adjusted the tire percentage setting down to 75%, to get closer to the real speed. Did you have the same issue? As I see your speedometer just works great, and more or less accurate...
@bgibbs6993 жыл бұрын
i did not adjust anything other than turning abs off because i dont have abs and i was getting the abs warning light. I would like to go in and set my shift light to be my low fuel light. Right now the low fuel indicator is kina small. thank you for watching
Try 63% for the tires to get a more accurate display.

Is the installation really plug n play? Have to do anything with the wires/plugs or something?

@bgibbs6993 жыл бұрын
the yamaha bolt only has a low fuel light that comes on with the koso just like the factory meter. However you can go in and program an estimated range that then shows you an esimate of how much fuel is left. I did change my shift light to come on as well as the low fuel indicator just so i can see it better. Yamaha gives you .74 gal of fuel at low fuel so you have a good 20 miles to get gas

I purchased a relocation bracket on Amazon for the bolt. It was actually recommended to when I purchased the meter. However if you try to use the factory Guage with the bracket, there may not be enough length on the plug. The koso gives you extra

Hello! I just installed the Koso unit. When you turn on the key but the engine still doesn't start, why is the oil lamp asleep ??? After an oil change, every older motorcycle has signaled for a little longer ... the xv950 goes to sleep immediately. I have an xsr engine still lit here. If you run out of oil..are kosos be sure to alert me?
@bgibbs6992 жыл бұрын
Mine does the same. The oil light seems to be more sensitive than the original factory meter.
