Now, western powers led by the US need to understand that the illegal protectorate of Kosovo was established in the 90s during the Clinton warmongering machine backed and financed by Albanian drug money and diferent lobbies. Absolutely against all international laws . Radical Muslim extremists burned over 300 serbian monasteries and churches 10 centuries old .... so gradually, this mistake needs to be fixed if we want the world to stay safe . If it's not fixed, we can expect more regions in Europe , more separatists, more radical islamists, etc . Kosovo constitution only allows Euro to be used as its currency on public sectors. Kosovo has also a majority Albanian population, and in Albania they use their own currency "Lek". But it doesnt bother Kosovo Albanians to use Euro. Serbia can still send Euro to Serbians in Kosovo if they so care to support them. One of the problems with dinar is that the serbian goverment used it to support criminal, terrorist groups in the northern part of Kosovo to fund them. As we saw in september when they killed a Kosovo police officer, one of the leaders of the terrorist attack was a politician with close ties to the Serbian gov. He is still roaming free in serbia despite being wanted from interpol. I dont think this change will make ppl wanna leave bcs of financial struggle. What about the Kosovar Albanians that have been using Euro from the beggining? They dont get extra benefits from Kosovo Gov, I would argue that they had less considering the northernn part of Kosovo (majority kosovar serbs) don't pay tax or electricity bill since 2011 (Im not sure if this is still going till today).. No country in world allows you to have a parallel bank to center bank. Kosovo uses euro and that is very good . If we go to America we have to exchange the euro for dollar and vice versa. They live in Kosovo not Serbia!

I guess it's a way for the Kosovar government to collect some taxes from an otherwise unarbitrated custom, one might even speculate most of the money has been generated on the territory and held by Serbian treasury for so many years, denying the economical substance for the local government and offices. Of course Serbia is irritated with that, of course the way it seems to be implemented is questionable. But let's not forget what the Serbian state is, an oppressor state run by an opportunistic nationalist which is the moral heir of Milosevic, probably seeking to suppress Kosovar identity and state, something denied to his predecessor by NATO military intervention.

Except Kosovo is kinda sacred to Serbia. Its where the majority of its nobility died defending the west from the Ottomans. Serbians believe that they were then betrayed by the west when the territory was infiltrated by Islam but their ownership and history was not respected due to US geopolitical maneuvering around the Iraq war (and a desire to not seem anti-muslim). That short-sighted decision and failure to understand the depth of history in the region has driven Serbia into Putin's arms.
