Assuming you can purchase replacement foam pads there are three tabs on each speaker that you can push in with a small screwdriver to release the plastic cover which holds the foam in place, then you can replace and push back on until tabs click

Very handy review thanks! I love my KSC75 and I find they give a nice quality/quantity bass for open earphones. I wanted a wireless bluetooth version... the sound section of your review tells me these are NOT it :( I think I will try to mod my existing KSC75's instead! (handily I have 2 pairs). I think that will make them absolutely perfect for snowboarding!

Are the BT221i 'good enough' for listening to spoken word, in a low noise setting?
@SuperReview2 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried that, given their treble they might be sibilant with vocals (harsh Ses) but I dunno. I use bonephones for spoken word podcasts.

@@SuperReview I use an 'old' Trekz Titanium for listening around the house/office. Good enough quality for spoken word. However after an hour or so I get head fatigue from the spring band around my brain. PS: I also am a fan of the Koss KSC75 and other of that series. I've have been using them for many years.

Am I the only one who ruled these out by simply looking at the frequency response numbers published by Koss? The Porta Pro and the KSC75 both have 15-25,000 Hz. Even the Bluetooth version of the Porta Pro has the same frequency response. These, though, are rated at 50-18,000 Hz. No thanks, Koss. I'll check in later.

What's up with companies these days competing to create the shortest possible charging cables? Am I the only one who like to charge from a power strip on the floor that has USB charging outlets? Give me at least 4' cables, and a velcro strap for those who want to shorten them! That said, KOSS is usually not bad for the price. They've been doing headphones since the middle ages, and know a lot about making phones that are simple but with decent sound. Sure, they're not going to compete against Klipsch, JBL or Sennheiser ones costing three times as much, but they also are cheap enough to pick a set up at the airport if you forgot a good pair at home. For hopefully better sound, how about giving the Porta Pro Bluetooth version a spin?
@SuperReview6 жыл бұрын

I just bought these earphones. The sound was atrocious. I'm shocked as Koss always delivers on their earphones. The sound is hallow, metallic, no bas. It is so bad it actually hurts my ears. Given the price tag, I'm extremely disappointed. They are no better than any super cheap earphones. An absolute "no" for music, a "maybe" for podcasts. Do not waste your money!
