This is a great review, maybe I would add another camera to do closeups of the build. I would consider doing higher end stuff as well.

Have you tried the new Clear color variant they have on Amazon? They are made out of a different plastic so they're lighter with slightly less clamping force and because they're clear to show off the drivers they removed the foam from the rear of the earcups which lowers the bass ever-so-slightly and widens the sound stage a tad. Highly recommend if you like open-back headphones.

I almost grabbed a set this last prime days but then got busy and it slipped my mind. I've heard the sound is noticeably different and has me curious.

How is the durability of the KPH30? I mean it looks cheaply made... I'm afraid of getting one of these (which are almost impossible to get in Argentina and also curiosly expensive to ship here) and get it broken soon. Thanks

They are notorious for breaking on the headband where you adjust it sadly. Its where it transitions from a solid piece of plastic to two strips with a gap in the middle

The Kph 30i with the grado pad mod is the only way to go with these headphones. SO much more comfortable. Overall sound volume is decreased slightly so you’ll have to adjust for that. Bass level seems better but not to basshead level whatsoever. I left the original pads on. Some have taken them off. Others have cut holes in them ect ect. I would say to try them with the original foam and if they sound good to you then just leave them that way. These headphones will last a long time if you are careful with them. ALLWAYS put them on and take them off with BOTH hands. DO NOT twist the headband. It will break if you do that. Just treat them with care and you will be fine. I love these headphones.

Hi, i planning to buy the Sennheiser hd58x and I came across with your video. Do you recommend to just get the Koss Kph30i? I will use it for some fps game, listening music, and online calls.
@zaldisvatlers14103 жыл бұрын
yes but if you have money for something more sturdier and comfortable than kph30i's then go for hd58x or hd6xx

I'm with Zaldis on this one. The 58X is a better headphone if you have the budget.

Hi, i have the 58X and the kph30i and even if the 58x has better sound, it's not confortable at all for my big head... For gaming, i prefer the koss or my old dt990 because of spacialisation and confort (58x is bad for positionning) Anyway, 58x is great for music Imo 😉

5bucks for shiping in US,but in EU its like 40bucks even more,and try grado pads,actually u must go for pads if u planing more...

I have a modification review coming with the Grado pads. I'm really surprised at the change to sound. I'm trying to calm the sharpness though as without the pads they get a little harsh.

@@theavgconsumer Same problem,somehow drivers are too far away from my ears,giving some crazy sharp tunes,comfort is increased but i lost quality sound,without pads seems like better option,even after 2-3 hours im done;(Cant understand people saying hey,its amazing soundstage,well you made headphones like speakers;)
