She tells me that he has scored only 3 out of 5 in essay in English, but the topper girl of the class has scored 5 out of 5. She gave me clear instructions to make his child much able to score 5 out of 5 in essay. She has given me a time duration of upto June. She said, "Main chahti hoon ki mera bachha sabse aage rahe." Note: The child has scored 78 out of 80 in English. The deducted 2 marks have been deducted in the essay only. Just think about her obsession regarding making her child top.😮 These kind of kids get frustrated 😔 of their parents as they grow young in their life. It is indeed true that the students are mentally pressurized to achieve high but why nobody puts light in the real problem here?! That's our education system which forces fellow students to fall into such a situation where a student will put an end his/her life. I really really hope tht the new education policy will bring about some positive changes for us. Moreover, parents should atleast try to understand what potential their child holds, everybody is not meant to become an engineer or doctor from IIT or AIIMS !

this was a comment in another video: "One day after my suicide" The day after my suicide, I loved my mother even more, when I saw her crying on the floor of my room, hugging my clothes with my photos scattered around her, I saw so much love past the tears in her eyes. The day after my suicide, I felt how much my father loved me, no matter how hard it was, in the midst of so much sadness, he spoke to me with tears in his eyes about how proud he was of me and how much he loved me. The day after my suicide, I saw Tumble (my furry best friend) was more incredible than I could imagine. Everytime someone came home, he would run to the door excited to see me, and seeing that it was not me, would lay down in front of the door and continue waiting for me. The day after my suicide, I felt the love of my sister when I saw her sitting in her room with eyes full of tears. She remembered the times we played, talked and argued together in our beautiful childhood. Treasured moments. The day after my suicide, I felt how important I was to my best friends. They were looking at all our pictures together...remembering the laughs we shared. The day after my suicide, I felt the sorrow in my teachers. They blamed themselves for not noticing. At night I went to the morgue to look for myself and said: "So many dreams we had", "So many loved ones", "So many people to meet", "You had so many people that loved you, yet you threw it all away?", "You have to have a lot of courage to take your life. Why didn't you use that courage to win?" Thank goodness that was just a vision. Remember: You are still here and can change your life forever. You are better than you think you are. Prettier, smarter and stronger. Make this yours. Save it to notes and read it later. Disclaimer: This is not my story I just wanted to spread it because maybe it helps.

I understand parents tell us for our good. I accept it. I honestly want to say that our parents say "Hamne duniya dekha hai" is just not relevant these days. They don't know that "duniya badal gaya hai". They just don't understand it, and we can do nothing about it. All we can do is accept that they come from the times where there was no availability of many basic amenities. We are the first generation who have started our lives with all the basic amenities like food, water, money and a house to live. So our parents who have seen their parents struggle to get these amenities, will definitely think that having these in "our children's life" will give them a good life. They are not wrong, but they are wrong too. They need to understand that there are many more career prospects, but they won't. They can do better, but they did what they could. EGO ISSUES. Can't help it out. All we can do is, as people of this generation, share our thoughts with each other, and not with parents. I remember doing so and i regret it. They will instead blame only you. Indian parents can't take it when someone questions their parenting. Realize, that its not been a lot of time since we got independence. India has a long way to go. And what i noticed is, the parents of west atleast try to bridge the gap with the present generation, whereas our parents, atleast majority of them dont even care!!. So should we blae them for this? this is both a YES and a NO. Thats how they were brought up. Please, to all my dear gen Z people whose parents never understand of them (atleast 97% of them) We are the first generation to have access to multimedia and large networks of information. Let "us", being the present generation, break this chain and be better parents! Though i accept that our parents are absolutely wrong when it comes to mental health of their children!

I studied in a very common middle class school which was not very competitive and my parents thought it would be good to take me for a 'crash course ' for preparing for board exams and I went to the next City for 10 days during my study leave for vigorous training. After the first test, that teacher said I had a mental problem because I didn't know the basics of maths! My mother started crying and I was just surprised! then I was very clear what I was good at and what I wasn't. So I left that coaching centre in 4 days. I took up humanities for higher secondary and I enjoyed my studies and became school topper just 'automatically'. I graduated from TISS and I'm working as a psychologist and make sure no person I come across undermine their uniqueness and preciousness. Don't let others determine your value. If a 2000 rs is crushed or soiled , still you get the things worth 2000s and not for 50 rs because it is certified by the RBI governor to be that valuable. Thanks, India Today for making this report. I genuinely cannot believe how parents actually force their children so hard and make them think, "oh, im second in place and not first, im such a failure, i should die." Like, if you did not go to kota, then why pressurize ur child? They didnt want to go there by themselves, (unless they actually did) but YOU pressurized them. And they didnt ASK to be born. It was your choice. YOURS. So u should know how to raise one child and give it its freedom. Anyway, if anyone is going through selfharm or depression, i hope the best for you. Your parents might not be by your side, but thousands of people on the internet, even if they dont even know your name, will support you. Also, good luck on exams if they are upcoming. I tried to make my dad understand that IIT AND NEET ARE not the only prof as i want to go for military but as a girl my parents are not at all willing for it. here I represents everystudent who has social pressures.... Remember even if your mom agrees India is A PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY so dads agreement is a must, even if dad agrees SOCIETY JUDGE, the only way to achieve our dreams in first follow our parents and then persue and thats what im gonna do, listen to my dad and then persue my dream later

Forgive the people around you who have no idea what a diamond you all are in your own world. Good luck to all of you. Celebrate life. Enjoy education. Help one another. Above all, smile. This too shall pass. God bless.

Most of the parents forcing their kids to become doctors and engineers aren't it themselves. If they think its that easy to secure a seat why don't they give a trial first. Why forcibly throw young minds into fields the parents have absolutely basic knowledge about? Absolute bs. Also the parents should try listening to their kids atleast once in their life. Thinking the kid is putting up a fake act is not going to help u or your child get anywhere, nor does it make you a smart parent.

Someone ikwas an iitian , he was mentally disturbed n suffered a lot. So he completed his graduation n he started leaning towards spirituality, n left everything . I was like its nice that he is focusing on himself but my mom was like childrens hv no worth for their parents nowadays, they spent so much on their kids , n they want freedom from everything which is very wrong (said by my mother). N she does def know that it is their kid who works so so hard to achieve something big , while struggling mentally. She thinks its wrong for a child to hv an opinion n decide, ofc he had his reasons to not work 9 -5 n she's the one who calls this generation selfish(cuz their kids r not settled enough to "look after them when they r old ". She thinks only parents put in efforts for their "children's well being , successful life" but most of the parents would have given up on jee or neet , it would hv been to much for them to handle. Are our parents living their lives through us? Giving no freedom or choice, what r we supposed to do ?

I have completed class 10th... I was doing good till my pre boards... I was scoring really well... And i was the top scorer of my class... Untill the day comes... 2 weeks before my board exams I was week in hindi and i never even cared about it cause i score really well in other subjects Literally some words of my hindi teacher hurted me like anything... My hindi tuition teacher expected a lot of score... My parents started to expect more than 490. But i know i may even lose 20 marks in hindi. Thats when i feared about my exam... The first time... I locked myself in room and cried like anything... Hindi was the first exam and i literally lost 15 marks... I cross checked it in online... Where i started to lose hope... Class 10th was over but i scored 92 % in pre board exams... But now im sure that i wont even cross 450 marks... This decline in marks... Health and wellness is just by my parents, teachers and tutors expectations... Don't know how much their expectations will affect my future career... But I'll try my best not to break their expectations... I promise you mom... I will try my level best 👍

The Problem with Tuition Classes is that they do very exhaustive coaching. If the syllabus of NEET and IIT is constrained to one Book of NCERT the sense of Confusion will be reduced. If different Publications are referred then different perspectives of different Scientific Researches comes at Play, which makes the study more confusing.

isnt it a truth that even cutoff marks can be in a good range rather than being so high always, and if we really seek deeper, we can see a fact that due to the rapid pressure and competitive environment set up in a coaching center many students forget that they r humans, which ultimately leads to a condition of they doing exceptionally well by forgetting their social and metal wellbeing as compared to a norm and set the cutoffs at much much higher standards ,so even a good student feels demotivated then because he scored a bit less than the best ones..'

Why students want addmission in IIT ? This is not even a question, India is the country with highest population and major proportion of it is youth. Indian college/universities don't even stand in top 100 of whole world (only IIT are in it), and if you don't want to become Engineer or Doctor that means that you don't deserve good education in India. No doubt that their are FEW people who have done great things in their carrier but it's only FEW. If you want to save your youths then start treating every field equally, provide quality education.

Sometimes parents are tough and they don't want to admit the fact that their child is depressed, but what else will they do?? In this current market they are well aware that a doctor will make atleast enough so that their child won't go hungry every night. Parents are not our enemies, Sometimes these toughness is the solution. If parents listen to us all the time, I guess we will be doomed...
