Even though I never really liked CS:Source, this video helps me realize that most of the Quality-of-Life improvements in Dust2 actually originated in Source (as ideas) and got properly implemented in CS:GO / CS2.

For me the Dust2 night and dust2 snow/xmas from cs source is my favorite. Mainly because of nostalgia

One thing I really miss from the early CS:GO version is the curved walls in some areas. Taking or defending catwalk was a lot more interesting with the rounded corners.

3:20, I don't agree. that jump should not be possible. I hate when you can jump from a single pixel. I wish valve would remove every single such jump (or boost) from the game

The cs2 version of dust2 is basically what the final version was in csgo, including the goose graffiti and the suicide layout. The map was constantly evolving in the name of balance, so it's hard to declare anyone the winner.

CSS is just a storage of ideas and pinchy tweaks, such a good path for valve to actually make the map balance even stronger as of today. what an immortal move, that's the greatest aspect of counter strike, to be manually handled by players and to be manually handled by decades.

csgo version 2013 was the best one, fnatic 4awp was a iconic moment cannot be replace, 4 awp hold makes ct almost impossible to instant peak counter to kill

People went with the 1.6 version of the map because of the nostalgia factor. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Dust2 in that game but the CS2 is far superior.

It's not just the nostalgia. There's something about being able to see T spawn from mid and vice versa that makes me love the map.
