Kotla Feroz Shah : The City of Djinss - Episode 1

A heritage walk to the medieval capital of Kotla, believed to be inhabited by jinns. Built by Sultan Firuz Shah Tughluq in 14th century, this citadel has many a magnificent monuments: the Jami Masjid, an Ashokan pillar brought all the way from Haryana and a baoli.

Shall start watching this series from later tonight but yeah I had commented to say that coincidentally I am reading William Dalrymple's book City of Djinns currently, I wonder if the title for this series was inspired by book's name.

Deepika A Yup, the title is inspired by the book's name...and perhaps the book's name is in turn inspired by the local beliefs here..about djinns :) cheers

Great initiative, the videos could do with some editing. They are too long too many pauses, very high school course like.

+Ravinder Sidhu - thanks :) yeah, some of these are longish...its just that I don't get enough time to fine edit these heritage walks ..owing to my dayjob I get to film and post these on weekends only...hence been a little lazy in strict editing the footage :) also, there are so many things to cover that i tend to prefer to film everything and share with all here...editing takes a little backseat. +Ravinder Sidhu - yes ofcourse! if you are in Delhi and have time you must try a bunch of these places..everyone finds some thing or the other of their interests in these walks. I just upload coz I luv doing so...n also for the benefit of students and seekers/travel lovers who cant reach these places...and as a bonus joy sometimes some of the viewers actually start visiting these places after watching the videos...n this feels so awesome :) :) hope u'll like your walks. cheers!
