Kova Goalie Clav/Neck Guard and Toe Tie Review

I agree about the quality and customer service on the neck guard. I also would highly recommend it. In addition I also was bothered initially by the clavicle issue. I added a soft velcro pad with hook and loop; problem solved. Your review is spot on. btw I ordered a custom guard and have totally fallen in love with it. I think for most goalies any change in equip. is an adjustment as it was for us but I feel so much more confident wearing the KOVA. Topi will always keep you informed and I got mine quickly, for a custom order.

i know its a couple years now, and its probably way to late for you but for someone else watching, if you have a collar problem like he explained you can get an undershirt with padding like the vaughn or ccm with a little padding on the clav and it shouldn't be a problem at all for comfort.

I think going custom with the extra gel option would work too. Since I had never used Kova before, I didn’t want to go custom without knowing if I’d like it. When it comes time to get a new collar, I’m gonna give the Kova another try with the added gel.

nice review, I was curious about the toe ties. I had seen it in videos but had no idea how they connected. Im pretty new to goal tending and so the bungies are fine for me (as I have no reference point) and I never really got the skate lace to feel right.
