You have given us a great first impression of the Kove 800 Kyle. Kudos to Kove for not making yet another 450# wet mid sized bike! Honestly, I would love for more manufacturers to provide you with bikes for testing. No slight to anyone else in the space... But I nearly fell asleep watching a video released today about a bike. Hello from China. Rally's got 270mm of travel vs 240mm on this pro model, flat seat, one front brake disc vs 2 on 800x pro, front fender is off-road, no luggage rack in the back, and they probably gave it a full titanium exhaust system to shave even more weight, because the wet weight of Rally is 176 kg.

A bit strange that so many complain about KTM engines' reliability, yet most trust this (admittedly "almost") same engine in another frame build. For 10k this is a formidable challenger to the T7! I do wonder if the 2k extra for the rally version is worth the money? That would suggest that the suspension on the standard version is not good at all? Your opinion, Kyle? Me, personally, I still feel that the 690/701LR is the perfect middle ADV; weight/power/suspension.... THANKS Kyle for your review! ❤
@manybikesАй бұрын
@@PeterR0035 yeah... I used to hate the 690 / 701 ... it is AMAZING on paper but on the highway feels like a 450 and in the woods on single track it feels like an Africa Twin ;). This bike is light enough and powerful enough I think it will be a contender. Do I trust it.... not really... but we will see. CFMoto is making the engine... we will see!!!

I've ridden the upgraded rally version in moab Utah, and the differences I noticed were quite a bit more extensive then just suspension, it had single front rotor, skinnier wheels that could run mousses if wanted to, full titanium race exhaust, no abs at all on the bike and a scotts steering stabilizer. This was the pre production model, and im told they'll have to install Abs on the rally bike in order for it to be USA 50 state street legal, but in short I was told this pre production rally I rode was mostly how it'll come out to the public. It was basically a more Offroad focused model of aggressive Offroad riding and even lighter in weight. So in short, for an extra couple grand, it comes considerably even lighter, better suspension, and skinnier wheels that can run mousses optionally, more high-performance exhaust, and stabilizer And yes, I agree with Kyle, these bikes were extremely light, very agile, and very peppy

@@OneOldManRiding The electronics seem fairly simple, not nearly as much going on as the KTMs under the plastics. They're going for light weight, simplicity is almost certainly their goal. Cable throttle, no cruse electronics, quick shift or tilt sensors = Less to break. I can't say for sure if the engine has a knock sensor, as I haven't seen deep in between the throttle bodies.
