Temple Style Curd Rice | Kovil Thayir Sadham | Bagala Bath
Ingredients & method
White rice - 3 cups
Butter - 1/2 tbsp
Salt as required
Mash it well
Ginger chopped - 1 tsp
Green chilies chopped- 1 or 2 nos
Curry leaves
Yogurt/ curd - 1 cup
Milk - 1/2 cup
Mix altogether and rest it for 20 mins
For tempering
Oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Chana dal - 2 tsp
Asofoetida (Hing) - 1/4 th tsp
Dried chili- 1 nos
Curry leaves
Add the tempering to the curd rice and mix well. Check for salt and add more if needed. I had it along with Podi Potato fry. It was divine 🙏☺️
