This is great news for my workflow, thank you. It would be super nice if photomater has a filter option to search for photos with a given meta tag (like a specific lens or a cam or an ISO range etc)

Great stuff! Would love to see you do more in depth tuts for photomator please? Where do edits get saved now? Can you choose to keep them with the files wherever they are stored?

This is my big question as well! Are they saved alongside the original file or do they still use the Photomator folder in iCloud?

This is awesome! I personally move all my photos a a NAS so that I don’t have to pay for iCloud. I’ll definitely be able to make good use of this feature.

How would you make use of that feature on the go if you want to access some photos on your iPhone or iPad say? - or is this only really suitable on the laptop?

I tried to edit photos with beta and I loved it. One thing I miss are filters and rating system. Maybe they will add it soon

I don’t know how doable this is, but I would love an additional option to see both my Apple photo library & photos I have in finder at the same time

I use Photos as my image library manager. As such I have over a hundred Photos libraries that equate with field trips - each with thousands of images. What I would like to be able to do is exploit the more powerful tools of Photomator in these individual libraries. Will I be able to navigate to, and open, a Non-system Photos library? Or, alternatively, when I open a non-system Photos library will it allow me to edit Raw images externally using Photomator and save the edits.

I'm not a developer but I wish Photomator had better presets. Like a combination of Lightroom's presets and Darkroom's browse/share preset features. I also wish the Denoise feature was comparable with Lightroom's. I'm in the free trial and I'm still heavily considering purchasing it, though. But I also might just stick with Lightroom for the moment even though I hate their subscription model. TBD.

Many thanks. A very interesting option for keeping some photos/projects aside and working with them separately (for instance, via iCloud). One small question: having made edits on a Photomator-only image/s like this, is there then an easy way to copy the image/s to the Apple Photos Library in the usual way. For instance, I might have a separate project but would like to keep a small number of sample images in my Apple Photos Library for reference? Many thanks again!

How about RAW support? I had problems with CR3 in the past and I know that the ORF (OM System RAW) from the TG-7 is not supported right now. Are they adding support for new RAW formats in a reasonable time frame?

I don’t really keep up on all the latest raw formats, but the most recent update of Pixelmator and Photomator expanded RAW support, so it’s clearly on their minds.

@@JosephSlinker Hi, focus stacking is often done with macro photography and even some landscape photography. There are apps that do focus stacking, but having to buy an app for everything that Photometer doesn't do could get expensive. Every other major photography app does focus stacking and panorama and HDR merging. Even a number of cameras do it now automatically.

@dudleycase7280 that’s why I’m asking. Lightroom, for example, doesnt automatically do focus stacking to my knowledge. The photos have to be sent to Photoshop for that.

@@JosephSlinker Hi, ON1 and Luminar Neo both do focus stacking, pano stitching and HDR merge. Lightroom Classic and Lightroom both do panorama stitching, HDR and HDR panorama stitching. And I am sure that there are other photographic apps that do these.

You can always copy the photos to your Apple Photos library, but the method I was showing here leaves them in place.
