Thanks, the clip in from a longer documentary narrated by Agya Koo Nimo (he’s the one speaking) about Ghanaian music and highlife in general. So he’s mentioning his previous research in Ashanti, before moving on to a section looking at kpanlogo. This clip was filmed in Ga-Mashie, the heart of the Ga area in Accra!

@@sankofaha7557 u do not understand the psychological effects of cultural theft. Ashanti's and the world should understand that not Every culture in Ghana is an Ashanti culture. That's all he's saying all the regions in Ghana have cultures appealing to the world and unique to them and for Ashanti's to claim that culture is wrong. It is true we all Ghanaians but then we are ethnically and culturally different in unique ways. N.B: this comment is not in anyway aimed at inciting ethnocentrism but rather aimed at appreciating the unique ethnic cultures of the different ethnic groups that makes Ghana the great nation it is

@@kabutey8132 Well who is stopping you with a gun to your head from promoting yours. I'm not Asante but I love their culture which is Akan. I don't really get your beef. The world knows Asante culture because they fought for it. Stop blaming others. We are writing in English because it is dominant language but I have not been forced to write in English.
