KPBC @ Dalby Red Route - Trek Rail 5 EMTB first ride!

This was my very first ride on an electric mountain bike (EMTB). I hired one of the Trek Rail 5 full suspension EMTB from the Dalby bike shop and took it round the 323 mile red route. The aim was to try it and review it. What are the main differences between an analogue and an electric mountain bike and how does that translate in a real world test? So I’ve only filmed certain parts of the red route to show this. Hope it’s useful to you.

Did exactly the same and hired one with a couple of mates... Can quite honestly say it's the most fun i've had going around there. Loved every climb which is a new experience for there. Mulled it over for a few days after and we all ended up buying one, went for the rail 9 GX gen 2.. just waiting on delivery then I'll be back up there to go again! Reinvigorated mountain biking for me, don't know what I was messing around at, Should have got one ages ago!

I’ve got a cube ebike fella. If I’m going down hill and not peddling I get no resistance..it flies. Touch 40 down a decent hill. Bought it at beginning of lockdown. Best thing ever. Makes hills a pleasure 😊😊

I didn't see you use turbo once , should have give it a try it's addictive ! Yep they're expensive but bloody hell they're fun 😂

To be honest, I didn’t feel like I needed it as the EMTB mode was great at giving you just the right amount of power assist. Plus, the guy in the bike shop warned me that in Turbo mode, my battery would drop faster than Katie Prices drawers!!

@@boomjunkie Volspeed 4 for the Bosch CX simple to fit can be turned on or off from the display unit.

By no means entry level the 5. And 625wh version. Sus is good. Same as i have on my slash 8. I doubt its setup. Did they weight it for you? Im getting one. Thats 5k instead of 6 7 8 9k of the 7 8 9 and 9.5. All just more spec. Which is like owning an astra like i do an a rolls royce. Still a car. Still does same thing.. for the money this is epic. Getting my for £3.8k any luck aswell

It’s a while ago but I think it was GoPro Hero 7? Not sure what the settings were either, sorry. Look for a video by Skills with Phil as he made a good video on GoPro settings he uses for when he’s riding Whistler etc
