I got circled by a 15 foot great white 3 days ago about 1 mile off of La Jolla point/condo. It was 120 ft deep. I was in a 10.5 ft Hobie kayak. It circled me about 5 times over 2 minutes. Finally swam away after I slapped my paddle at it and practically hit it in the nose. Was a 9.6/10 on the terrifying scale..

One time about 25 years ago I was swimming from La Jolla shores to Sunny Jim’s and I was circled by a blue shark. Freaked me out and I went over reefs to the shore of private homes, ran through a back yard and climbed over a fence to get back on the street so I could walk back to La Jolla shores.

I was free diving once and a great white mom swam over me me... She circled back and it felt like I got slapped in the head and was surrounded in red murky water, then there were two sharks. She had her baby on top of my head. Almost knocked me out, one of the best days of my life.

@@TheRootMessage That's bogus! They don't own the ocean or have a title deed to it. I was born and raised in SoCal, spent many summers in Huntington body boarding, but that was many years ago. From Laguna Beach south is a hot bed for great white sharks, because of all the seal population. I honestly think that there are a lot more great white sharks in those waters than what's being reported by the so-called officials. Further north of Laguna the seal population drastically decreases so only possible juvenile great white sharks are in those waters.

Notice the bright orange Garibaldi fish are so numerous and you don't see other fish is that they are the only species protected from fishing. The other species have been fished-out. In the fish market in Ensenada, Baja California (no laws) you see whole Garibaldi on ice. Interesting that the fish market there is named "Mercado Negro" that translated to "Black Market" in English🤔

One of the most notorious fatal California white shark attacks took place in La Jolla: Robert Pamperin was literally 'carried off' by a very large white shark. I think he was the last known 'total consumption attack' in California waters.

@@US_John Welp do you have 'the stones' to do what needs to be done? Humans had the brains to learn how to 'hunt down' potential predators, farm for food to prevent famine and also create medicine to fight illnesses. IF you want to cut down on the human population, how about denying ALL financial, food and medical assistance to countries with high birthrates in the third world--after they all go 'Lord of The Flies' with each other and all that's left is rubble and charred bones, the 'natural world' will rebound--eventually. Trouble is, can you endure the bleeding hearts in the News and TV showing us the 'ongoing humanitarian disaster' day and night?
