These wigs are fascinating, I ran into pictures of them the other day on Pintrest and wanted to look them up. So for me, I think this is beautiful and you've done a wonderful job with it I just wish we could have seen more of the process.

glad you liked it! how much more of the process did you need to see?? I'm not sure what's left to show. LOL

It would have been nice to see how you did the first row and part of how you did the fillers. It would have been nice to see how you did the bangs as well. Remember, you've got new people like me watching wig tutorials like this for the first time and when we see it partly assembled we wonder what the first step was. Also, how did you make the cap you glued it to? If I wanted to make a wig like this and I didn't have anyone to help me, which I don't, how could I make my own cap?

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it! The skull cap link is in the description above. The pattern is for sale for $1.99 and here is the free tutorial video on how to assemble it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioDZpHd3m6yKp80. And feel free to contact me directly through my website (also in the description above) if you have questions or need help. Good luck!

Love your video can you tell me how you can make the strips wavy instead of straight as I’m making a wig similar but with more waves

The pool noodles are very tricky to make them curly. I wrapped them around a COLD curling iron and used a blow dryer to go over them (be VERY careful of the heat or they'll melt), then I sprayed them lightly with spray adhesive (like a photo-mount adhesive). Even after all that, they still only slightly curled. To make them super curly, the best way is to cut the pool noodle from the beginning, round and round (like a potato making a curly fry). I had already cut long straight strips when I make this wig, so that technique wasn't an option. If you're able to make this wig out of EVA foam instead of pool noodles, that responds really well to a heat gun and will retain twists and curles. Good luck!

Thank you very much! What kind of glue do you use?
@Kevinpdoheny4 жыл бұрын
I used hot glue but it has to be on the LOW heat setting on your glue gun, because it melts the pool noodles otherwise.

Thank you for posting this video. Could you tell me what glue you used to bond the EPE foam to EPE foam ( the type of Foam use to make pool noodles)? thank very much
@Kevinpdoheny7 жыл бұрын
I used regular hot glue, but you must put it on the low setting. If it's too hot, it will melt the pool noodle right away. Even on the low setting, you have to be careful. Sometimes you need to apply the glue and then wait for a few seconds for it to cool down a bit before you match it with another noodle piece, otherwise they both melt. Experiment first with some scrap pool noodle so you can get the hang of it.
