Man do I miss flying helis. Nothing better than being at a field alone with a heli and ripping it. Maybe I’ll dip back into it one day
@GrimesRic2 жыл бұрын
yeah man, alone at the field is the best! especially to clear the mind

I met a very good heli pilot at a local park. Started talking and he just flies 2 packs every day after work then goes home.

My Tron 5.5 runs at 2350 with the HW 120 hv in 101f , stays at 126 ° zero issues . That's pretty weird that it just shuts down ??

I changed to a 10t pinion and it seems to have made a big difference, better temps and hasn't shut down since

Old video but it really seems like a drivetrain issue if its still overheating, especially if the motor is also hot. i just cant imagine needing to drop pinions to get it to work, it doesnt make sense, the electronics should be enough
@BladeScraper11 ай бұрын
Pretty sure it was the gearing. No longer have this heli but once I switched to the smaller pinion, the temps dropped considerably and I stopped having thermal shutdowns. I think with my preference of headspeed the low throttle output PWM generated too much heat.
