This video was a necessary evil. 👏 meaning its not the most "fun" due to the nature of the topic but I greatly appreciate the content! Thank you sir and question: I have been using a light grease on my washer knives (aka washers not bearings) and noticed a greater performance gain, have you played around with different products ok washers and if so what are your generic thoughts? Yup leave it to me to ask a question like that brotha ;)

YO On average, yes, I like grease better for washers. But I also find that washers tend to polish themselves and wear-in quite well on their own. Washers are basically smooth no matter what, assuming they're clean, so I've never really had to focus on the action too much. I don't think there's going to be a massive difference in how they perform on different types of grease the way oil can change bearing performance. That being said, I'm not God and I could be wrong. Lol. But the short version is that washers are usually smooth enough for me to not focus much on what I lube them with.

Supposed to leave it on there for like 10, 20 seconds and firmly wipe it off. It doesn't leave a film for me but yes lol. It does smell like fish. Not very strong but it does

This knife liquid sounds like edci. Have you used both?

@@thepracticalblade9013 if you are familiar with Pete from Cedric and Ada he reviewed it a long time ago. It's good for light cleaning and corrosion resistance. Maybe someone can do a side-by-side test at some point. It has a water like consistency. Adds a water repellent coating to glasses and cell phones as well.

@@BenoJ3000 Yeah I watch him, but didn't see that one. It does seem to work for corrosion resistance. Cleaning kind of has me scratching my head. I'd rather clean with something else that didn't become tacky and smell awful. But it does seem to protect them at the end of it all.

It's all overkill for 99% of people anyhow. Buy the middle-ground lube and use it on everything, you'll be totally fine.
