Jennie doing things that aren't widely accepted in Korea isn't really a big issue. She may be influenced by western fashion trends but it isn't something to be mad about. About jackson: This man grew up in the kpop industry. He's a third gen legend. By that I don't mean that you HAVE to celebrate him and his music. I mean that if he decides to take the route he's taking, that's his decision. Jackson is an artist after all. I personally enjoy Jackson's work now a lot more than I used to when he was in got7. It's way more authentic, straight to the heart. But that's only me. I guess if you were a hardcore Aghase in the past, you may not like what he's doing now. But that's okay. An artist has to grow. With growth, change happens. I think what Jackson is doing now is almost an important message to kpop fans: an artist does not have to stay the same. Yes, maybe an artist follows one gentleman like image for their first 10 years as an artist. So what? Jackson got bored. It's that simple. He didn't decide his image back then, but succeeded in building an enormous fan base. He's an actual artist, you can't expect from an artist to do stuff they don't even want to do. That's just a general fact. Many of the groups I biased changed. I biased monsta x for about 3 to 4 years. As we all know, Wonho left Monsta X. And as much as I respect and enjoy Wonhos solo stuff he's been putting out, nothing will beat him in monsta x for me. But that's fine. He obviously found his style, his niche, and it's just not fully what I usually enjoy. That also goes for Monsta X themselves. My favorite era of them was the clan era, with all in and beautiful and shine forever. I still love monsta x, but they just don't hit for me as much as they used to. Monsta x changed, just like I changed, and that's completely fine. And I see a lot of people being worried for Jacksons mental health, and that's completely valid. Yet I think that most of what he's doing now is just finding his personal style, something he wasn't really able to find as a kpop artist. I'm almost 100% certain that what Jackson is doing right now is not the only thing and style were going to see of him. And not because his style isn't 'professional' or 'worth staying at' right now, but because, as I said, he's an artist. He's finally able to be fully himself, and honestly, he deserves it, and I'll be ready to watch and listen to everything he comes up with. This btw goes for all artists in the video. It's okay to unstan, guys. Many people may like what your past favorite idol is doing as much as you used to in the past. Unstanning is really not that deep.

@Brina21232 Жыл бұрын
All of this!! I love his Magic Man album and how he has come into his own. You can really tell how passionate he is about it just from the MV's and the interviews he's been giving. I also think it's really important to remember that a lot of the images we see of Kpop idols are not true reflections of who they are. We all know Kpop is manufactured and as much as we like to think we know our bias', we don't. I'm sure Jackson is just as much as a gentleman now as he is in Got7 but he is exploring a new side of himself and that's okay. If you don't like it cool, but some of this dislike is a little extreme.
@personunknown7129 Жыл бұрын
@Brina2123 that's so true! We all from time to time have to remember that acting lessons are legit part of the trainee education system. I really find it amazing how idols can clearly build an image and people legit fall for it and think it's authentic. I don't wanna say that everything's fake, but what's real anyways? They're celebrities after all. A change in image does not mean the idols are 'letting themselves go', it literally just means a change in image, and just because that is something we don't often get to see in kpop does not mean it shouldn't happen. I personally am happy to see it, as rare as that may be.

Lets have one thing straight to haters 1. Jackson can be as 'weird' or unique as he likes-as he is not doing anything illegal, hes just unique in his own way and besides any one can choose to be their own person, he is still a human being. 2. Jennie's body and life is her own-no one has the right to tell her what to do or wear, it all really depends on her since its her life after all-she is not a puppet, but a person, a human the same as us. 3. Haters dont have the utter right to tell Somi what to do-if her focusing more on tiktoks and advertisements then they should just let her, its not their buisness to critisize her for not focusing on her music career, and again shes still human-a being that has the mind of its own that can decide what she does and does not want to do.

And when they depart or they get recognition from Global society, like Jenny That got a lot of recognition from the American society. These idols are almost in their 30. They won't do the same thing as they used to when they were younger. -Jackson is incredible. I was able to go and watch his show and all I can say is that I really really liked it. I can see what people are saying about the dancing and the drinking thing but remember: he is almost 30. The show targets the western market ( like the whole concept of the album) and older audiences. Don't forget that most, if not all male idols do the same humping dances and do sexual stuff on stage. You can't blame someone and then be happy and proud of the others. If you are underage, skip Jackson's current tour. Go and look at the idols who are acting cute and whatnot for teens. Ultimately, it's just a concept, a show, and he is a performer. - The Jennie situation is the same. She is rarely doing aegyo and acting cute. ( not all idols need to do cute stuff, I get that and so should you). More idols are embracing the more "mature look". For me it's okay, but for some of the fans, it isn't. Let the girl live. Don't expect her to do all the cutesy stuff ( which sometimes are annoying). Some are saying that she is basically naked on stage and her moves are provocative. Well, next time ask her stylist to put her in a nun's gown and sing church songs. My god, y'all really need to grow up. She is 27 and y'all are expecting her to do baby shit.... please. People evolve in their craft and their personality evolves as well. They can't be the same person they used to be when they were young. Their main job is to entertain and that is why people are going to their shows. Y'all really need to chill. if you don't like it, there is no reason to hate it. Simply change the channel and keep on going.

I am not a Got7 fan, but I am a Jackson fan…and he asks those girls if they are 21 and single before he takes them on stage. One thing his Got7 fans need to remember is that he is now Jackson Wang with his own company Team Wang. I don’t see anything weird about that behavior. Looking forward to seeing him in May!

Weird double standard with BeBoss in this video. You guys criticize Jackson's actions as "inappropriate" but Jenny is "a fricking adult and can do what she wants"? Jackson's older than Jennie.. What is this?

Lol BeBoss is clearly a senseless, biased BLONK. Duh. Imagine criticising a grown man calling him "inappropriate", older than this spoilt Jennie chick who twerked and exposed a lot of her skin to the crowd. So because he is a guy it's a problem but if a girl does the same it's somehow "being liberal and free-spirited". At least Jackson has talent; writes, and produces most of his music, unlike Jennie who waits for teddy oppa to give her something. (PS: I'm a girl before y'all come at me)

Jackson Wang is the most talented, kind and respectful artist. And he is not a kpop. Because you can never be yourself when you are an idol and under the Korean company. Jackson has faced a lot of discrimination since the beginning of his CAREER. Now he is real Jackson. He already said that I'm not perfect. And he wants fans to love him this way. He is not using mask like mostly idols do. He does care about image. And it's his concept for MagicMan tour. If you all will check his video clips (I'm sure you all never did) then you will understand. And he doesn't force someone to come on stage with him. Everyone who attended his concert know that he will perform Moment and they all scream just to be chosen by him. It's just few part of his concert not full. You all should watch then talk. And I have been in his London concert and he didn't talked about Muslims. But twisting his words makes some people feel happy I think. There is full speech (more than 8 minutes) where he is talking about his own experience. About how media creating hate.He said let's spread love not hate. He said we all live in this earth. And we all need to welcome everyone everywhere.Loving your country doesn't mean that you love government.. And kpop stans are sick. They are the ones who needs to ask for help. Stop bullying people.

(yes that was disgusting, of course I'm talking about unicorns and white ponies...). @Somi: Company's strategy... which strategy? xD I'm glad that she still keeps in touch with her fans.

Exactly and on top of that they are slutshaming her which now enters a topic which is double standards that exist in real life like a male can appear topless in public and show their asscra4CK( NOT ABOUT ANY IDOL BUT JUST REAL LIFE SITUATIONS ATP ) and no one bats an eye but when show a little bit more cleavage they are shamed. This atp is not only about jennie but also about the comments women face in public. And Jennie is a grown ass women not a teenage girl and please she is not stripping down and many pop singers show skin and also twerk and also have many kids in the audience. "Fans" nowadays are more acting like those neighbours in asian dramas who just spies on the people in ther colony

Jackson is still a gentleman. I hope people would watch how he interacts with his fans outside the concert. During photo ops, he is still the same Jackson. Also, he makes sure he only invites adults on stage and Jackson himself is an adult. Lastly, Jackson is performing now as Jackson of TEAM WANG which he said is a totally different side from Jackson of GOT7. He is not performing now as a kpop idol. He is expressing his creativity and he is performing now as an artist who obviously has grown through the years. You can’t expect this man to only perform bubblegum song. He is almost 30. It is also not fair to use his mental health issues to criticize his concert or his concept now. One can be lonely and still have freedom to express his artistic skills.

with Jackson, i always felt like he had this in him, even with a group for me he was standing out with his unique energy, and him doing music, and carying a concert as he sees fit, is not that surprising for me, and as i remember, he talked about his depression, and his alcohol addiction(?), and it connects the dots of how he makes such good music nowadays, he is either like DPR Ian, has drops in his mental health(a.k.a bipolar), or still has a problem with alcohol, i wish it is more like DPR Ian's case, becasue drinking will only make it worse.

Honestly I do not agree that changing your image is bad, bc who doesnt ever change, its natural human instincts, its just how you change. I have been Jacksons fan for like the longest time, and I got SO FREAKIN happy when he finally went international in 2022, doing his international tour and stepping out of his comfort zone. I love his career focus, ambition, creativity and self development, but I think he isnt doing mentally well, with loneliness, alcoholic drinking issues which he opened up about recently. I hope he can continue long term on an international stage/level, but first focus on fixing his mental state and alcoholic issues. Because if he doesnt, he will soon have some issues ruining his own career. I think I love his stage presence, its just HIS OWN, Jackson Wang's performances and international presence is his own style. I encourge still trying enw things, but he needs to know the limits and not go out of extreme.
