kkpop lover That literally has nothing to do with what I was saying in my comment but ok. I never said groups from the big 3 didn't work hard, but what a sweet little thing you are if you say you are a kpop lover but don't understand how the kpop industry works, how unfair it can be and the advantages some groups have. Everyone has to work hard in the kpop industry, all that training, rehearsing and crazy work hours are no joke, but some will work harder than others and still reach nowhere because they lack the exposure and resources a big company can provide.

LuLu yeah what happened was that he got into a scandal and jyp rather defending him or doing anything to help him out, he just kicked him out of the company when he saw the scandal.
@qsO-f256 жыл бұрын
LuLu Well it’s pretty hard to defend someone who disrespected his own nation. Can’t really blame JYP for it. And come on guys, JYP accepted the apology. It’s just the netizens who wanted him out of the group. Pretty sure JYP was having double thoughts about this because first, it was his artist who did it. His artist whom he trained, casted and cared (Yes he cares. He wouldn’t accept the apology if he didn’t. However, accepting an apology is different than defending him for what he did). Second, JYP himself is a korean, nonetheless a korean guy. And Jay Park called out “koreans” as gays. I’m sure he was very offended by it. I mean, who wouldn’t be? Hence the reason why netizens wanted to give him a punishment (being kicked out of the company and defaming the guy). So whatever their shade is with at each other must be on something that happened INSIDE the company that was never broadcasted or just Jay Park being childish as what he claimed himself as to defend himself.

And yeah, I don't understand why EXO were out for so long. But Amber said a lot of times she has new songs and SM don't give her a solo album, they only gave her a single this year. I am not a SM stan, but they have every reason to believe they're the best. I'll give them that. Most of their artist tends to succeed and make it big, just a matter of time. Not to mention, most of the group they made, despite losing some members, remained active for a very long time without disbanding (TVXQ, SJ, SNSD, Shinhwa, Shinee etc). Comparing among big 3, they have the most long-running groups. While soloist like Rain & Se7en left their company, SM still have BoA and Stephanie, active. Remember how people used to called exo a 'failed debut' compared to their sunbaes? Well, look at them NOW.
@geolex45605 жыл бұрын
Yeah, because SM's outreach is the best in the country (along with YG). SM is basically one of the founders of modern produced K-pop; they have all the resources to perfectly train their idols with world class choreographers, vocal coaches, acting coaches. Even if they have a slow start like EXO or Red Velvet, they will eventually sky rocket in popularity because SM basically has it down to a formula. Not only is money important for a group's success, but politics plays a major role and Lee Sooman (even though he isn't the big CEO anymore) has a billion connections that will ensure the success of his company and employees. It's sad how much politics is involved in K-pop. I see so many extremely talented artists in the industry but because they come from a smaller company with little influence, they never become popular. Also, SM has a rule against disbanding.

In Jay Park's case tho, I think he just clashed with Korean Industry culture as a whole, not just JYP itself. He's very opinionated and has strong beliefs and ideals, and that goes against Asian dictator-like discipline. His pure musician ideals also go against Korean Entertainment as a whole, who basically uses their idols more as puppets instead of real musicians (at that time). JYPE at that time also made shittons of mistakes. I'm just glad JYP's upgraded now.

I think one of the important points with Jay Park is that it wasn’t really his dream to begin with. He was an American boy with the American mindset who from the beginning (like he said himself) wasn’t thinking about sticking around in 2pm for too long. Also he had somewhere to go back to. There are so many other idols who not only grew up in Korea but also had the dream to become performers since they were little. People like Taemin, Taeyeon and GD went through the process of being an idol, disliking things along the way, (I mean Taeyeon hates Gee to this day lol) and when the time came they they were able to use that creativity. Or look at Sunmi the music she makes now is amazing!! My point is Jay Park is really inspiring and I admire him very much but although it’s true the Kpop industry has to change a lot still, he was a very specific case and not every other artist in Korea can be upheld to that. We know idols aren’t robots, we know they aren’t perfect copies of each other, it just wasn’t an industry he fitted in at the time, so he chose to leave, other people chose to stay and endure. Doesn’t mean one artist is better than the other or inferior, they are just different.

This is why I don't like it when people blame all the shit that goes on with the companies on the idols or even the fandoms. They don't want it to be like that and we don't either. The first example that comes to my mind is how everyone seems to think SM artists behave like they're superior and SM stans think their idols are better than anyone else: no. SM think they're the kings of the industry, but their artists are actually really humble and kind and they themselves recognize SM's way of thinking isn't right. Same goes for the "your faves are flops and they haven't had a comeback in months" bullshit: maybe they don't enjoy being jobless either, maybe it's someone else's fault? And don't even get me started about people making fun of groups who lost one or more members: if you know nothing about idols mistreatment, don't talk. These people did not risk their ass to expose their own companies just for you to blame it on them or their fans. Look up the info before you speak.
