I disagree. At its root, plastic surgery profits off of a person’s insecurities. I just love how they revealed that they have gone plastic surgery. It's like they are proud of it. Some is even denying it. But these people prove them wrong. Despite the judgemental societies we live, they still did it. And I admire them for it. They knew they will be hated for it, but still said it anyways. It's their own life so they got what they wanted to do. I have a flat nose too. Not totally flat, but I don't have enough nose bridge. But I don't want to get it done. I want it natural even though I'm jealous of the nose of the others especially my siblings since I'm the only one who has a flat nose.

The standard for beauty in Korea tempts people so hard to change their natural beauty. Of course I respect their decisions but sometimes you just have to respect and love yourself and chill with the plastic surgery stuff it’s only momentary and it’s not permanent.

For me it was never about looks but confidence. If plastic surgery makes you confident than why the hell you have to care about others. It is your face, your life, your money. No one has right to say anything about it. I will be honest I don't care about my appearance but when I feel beautiful I am able to stand with my back straight. I sometimes do make up because I like it and feel like doing it. I sometimes go to school with ugly bed head and bare face because I m too lazy to give shit about it. I love myself the way I am but if I go under knife (not that I want or have resources to do it) IT WILL BE MY DECISION Another thing when people say you are beautiful they way you are it is easier to said than done. Not everyone has god gifted beauty and sometimes we like to hear these kind of compliments too (it is not a crime). No one says it in your face that you are ugly becuz they are too hypocrite to do that but they compare you to others which wore downs people's confidence. I m not bad looking but I always had been compared to my other more beautiful cousins so I know the pain. I overcame it so don't ever use the words: I and ugly, in one sentence

The vast majority of people who get plastic surgery weren't confident in themselves in the first place... and I doubt it it truly improves their self-esteem. Hence why many of them keep finding more flaws in themselves and get more and more surgeries done. I respect peoples' decisions, but I think there's really no point of return when you start altering your body like that... once you 'fix' one imperfection there'll be ten more that jump out and you, and they'll keep bothering you until you do another operation, then another... again, this doesn't happen to everyone, but I think it's more common than you think. Tbh, one of my friends might be getting plastic surgery in the future and that would make me so sad... I've known her since we were 7 and she's always had a low-esteem, if she gets into plastic surgery I know she will never be happy with her body. And many bad things will probably happen to her after that. As a role model, I believe mamamoo are a great example of a confident group that don't conform to others' expectations, especially Hwasa. They always do things their own way, while putting in 110%. They embrace who they are rather than changing themselves to fit other peoples' standards. Perfection doesn't exist, and I feel like that's what many people are chasing after when they do plastic surgery.

@@toyyoda3119 it actually does in many cases,my grandmother got a plastic surgery because she wasn't happy with a part of her body,now she's really happy with herself,if you don't wanna do it it's fine,but someone's body is someone's choice.

Kwanghee and Jessi are the most honest idols on plastic surgery. They didn't hide that they had surgeries and that helped them to become more famous. Love their honesty and humor about it.

Plastic surgery isn't a big deal nowadays, some people had their facial enhancement and they are proud of it but some are not so simply because society might criticize them! Thank god to those artists who tell the truth about PS, just like what Jessi said "i paid for it!

If you noticed, most of the girl idols (if not all) were pressured to have cosmetic surgery by their male producers, directors and managers, which is very telling.

People always tell me "oh, you got your nose done cause you had that breathing problem?" and I'm like "no, o got my nose done cause I didn't liked it and I wanted to be more confident and happy with myself" it sounds superficial but sometimes we want to look pretty so if you can fix that what makes you uncomfortable then do it! Kwanghee was the one of the first celebs who opened the door to transparency (Y). It gives haters less things to talk about when you confirm it yourself with confidence. What's so shameful about it? They didn't pay for your surgery anyways.
@hslpt34 жыл бұрын
Honestly other idols might have done that before him, but Kwanghee is really THE idol who paved the way for others to admit to their surgeries openly, i bet most comments here don't even know that. he got so much hate for it...but he stood tall and just did his thing...i'm not supporting plastic surgery neither would i attack them for it, but when idols act like they're all natural when they knew they're not....i mean, yeah probly their agency don't let them be honest, but it's better to not comment about it than lying. Kwanghee opened the path for 'cool' idols who can openly talk about them not being natural, with his joking ways that perhaps gave idea to other idols that they didn't have to approach the topic in such serious manner.
