YAAAAYYYY! Thank you! Glad you enjoyed watching it. The fan chants for SVT songs, dude, a couple of them are insane and my brain doesn't work that fast. Carats are the best rappers in K-pop. ;) Okay, sooo yeah, you just haven't seen/heard much of their rapping yet. All units have their own songs/performances, as well as duets, solos, etc. They also do these unit/part switch performances, where like the Hip Hop unit will do a "cover" of a Vocal Unit's song. I think Mingyu dropped and broke an award in that clip. Vernon's nationality vs. ethnicity is a thing (that and the "he looks like Leonardo Dicaprio" thing, omg) but I think it comes down to him not wanting to be labeled as just "mixed" or "American" when he feels more Korean. I'm a big Woozi fan. Adorable little ball of talent. The song "in the rain" during DK's part is DK and Seungkwan's duet, Say Yes. The only upload I could find of that performance: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX6lfn-ad8iXo7c Jeonghan's hair, omg. I didn't follow k-pop when he debuted with it, but I still somehow miss it. The clip of Jeonghan and Joshua cheating in the water - they were all supposed to stay under but they cheated and didn't, just pretended they did. The song you asked about what choreo it was for during Jun's part was "Don't Wanna Cry", one of their most well-known choreos for the level of difficulty and synchronization it has, a must-see. During The8's clip (and then Dino's), you asked if that was the same song as the one you asked about during Jun's - no, that song was "Clap". I think it was the same live stage though, thus the outfits being the same. They can basically all sing, really. The8 has some solo choreo videos (The8 Contemporary Art series), my favorite is "Falling Down" that features him singing as well. Dino also has choreo videos (Dino's Danceology series). Dino's song solo you asked about, is The Real Thing: kzbin.info/www/bejne/omrEiIqwnbCggNE And yes, you need to see the choreo for Thanks. Now that you have seen more of their stuff, starting from debut is cool. Their earlier stuff is very youthful and fun. Can't believe you've never heard the term "sweater paws, heh.

Idk if you'll be able to read this 😂😂 By Their last comeback with their ep semicolon.. seventeen has 107 songs. That doesnt include japanese versions and chinese versions.. They have like 7 mini album.. 3 special album.. 3 full album .. And 3 japanese album released. They use to do their concert for 3 days.. Each night is special which has special time for each unit like for example day1 concert is for hiphop unit special stage . Day 2 is for performance unit.. Day 3 is for vocals.. They usually perform unreleased unit songs freshly made for that specific night. There are i think 16 or more songs they have perform on concerts that are unreleased .. We dont know when they will release it.. Mosebof their ep/mini albums and full albums have songs made just for each unit.. ❤❤ you'll love all of their songs..i swear

36:44 it's CYZJ a chinese program, consist in 10 episodes and 10 contestants (like Jun and The8 from Seventeen, Yanan from pentagon and also Samuel (He trained with Seventeen and he is one of the 4 that left in pre debut) and other Chinese artists) you can find it English subbed on youtube (some performances has copyright and you have to watch them in the performance video). In this program you can appreciate the chemistry between Jun and The8💖

SVT has lots of contents they also have a reality/variety show in KZbin called Going Seventeen. Its like BTS’ RUN BTS and TWICE’s Time to Twice. They have the best contents, imo. Also, you should react to their “Don’t wanna cry”. DAY6 and SVT are my ults in KPOP. I think I have a thing for self producing idols.

Yay!!! I loved that you finally dived deeper into seventeen! Being a group with 13 members, each member doesn’t get a lot of lines in their title tracks, so they help compensate that through their subunit tracks. Hip hop, vocal, and performance unit all have songs that are tailored to their exact skill such as heavily hip hop or mostly ballads. They have many songs specially saved for concerts too so there’s no official audio for some songs. If you want more unit specific songs, pinwheel, lilili yabbay and trauma have MVs! Other great performances are just recorded concert performances such as un haeng il chi, shh, and habit.

The moment that I’ve been waiting for! HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!!! I recommend home, don’t wanna cry, and fallin flower. All of them can sing and dance. I love it when they betray each other. The8 is part of the performance team, he does b boy since he was young and he has released a couple of contemporary dances. You should check out Dinology! And yes they release a lot of content because they always spoil us too much.

**update* *Super long Seventeen Guide 2020 (INTRO) by caratline* is also a v long guide split into 4 parts that's vv good, similar to *movie & complete guide,* it's vv packed w info, even tho it's from 2020 it's still a good rec imo bcs it balances info of each member: funny , serious, notable, important moments, etc. hii, I found other guides that might be more helpful than those ones actually since they're more updated, sadly they're vv new & not many carats know ab them yet (feel free to check them out & pls support the video & channel if you'd like. Spread it around for other carats too if you can). this is in the order of what I'd recommend the most: *A Complete Guide to SEVENTEEN (2021) - leehgo | almost 3hrs* (it's long but def the most updated & well-structured from the ones I've seen so far, you could split it into parts/marathon it, whatever's more easier & comfortable) *a decent guide to seventeen -「cxyc 晓雅」| 33mins* (probably the best alternative if you'd prefer a shorter one? I'd probably rec this rather than the *subpar* one) *a helpful guide to seventeen - hansolix | 23mins* *another helpful guide to seventeen - odetosvt | 38mins* (I don't think these are *that* necessary if you've watched the two above alr. these are pretty good too, but I'd probably still put the ones before as the top recs, altho these do have some other extra infos & stuff) lastly there's this which I'd recommend to watch to help give info ab the group's origins (pre-debut info basically) *[WHO IS SEVENTEEN?] EP. 1 The making of Seventeen - svtdolly* from what I've seen, a lot of ppl would most likely still suggest the *subpar & movie guide* (which seems to be taken down rn? I read somewhere that it's being edited/re-uploaded I think. In the meantime, these are other options) even tho there are parts that are a bit outdated. these are probably the best options that we have rn if we were to suggest a video intro to svt for ppl. personally, I think these are easier for following & understanding the group than the other two

everyone already commented about which song you would like so maybe you can try dividing your reactions to units like hip hop units mv, performance, and then vocal unit~ they all have an mv!~ and i also think you will like change up, a song by the leaders! and if you are bored you can try to check out going seventeen, their contents are soo funny and they can be called trendsetters of idol contents in korea. its also self produced because it was just a casual behind the scenes before, but eventually they plan their contents by themselves ahead and work with the pd for the real show. for Going Seventeen 2020, there is this thing called Monthly Seventeen where from january 2020 to january 2021 every member each have their ideas pitched in and make a content out of it, i recommend jun's idea of escape room+ horror house its called going seventeen 2020 THE TAG! its really fun!

If you wanna hear their more rap heavy songs I would recommend “Trauma” and “Check-in” by the Hip Hop Unit, and “Change Up” by SVT Leaders. And I guess the rapping can get drowned out since the majority of the group are vocalists, so I feel like you just have to pay attention to it. I’m not sure how much of their MVs you’ve watched, but some of my favorite raps are in “Clap,” and “Left and Right.”

The videos of hhu rapping were mostly unreleased tracks but you can find the lyrics on seventeenlyrics youtube account. If you want to watch other videos per unit you should watch - Don't Listen In Secret or Habit [vocal unit] - Un haeng il chi or Trauma [hiphop unit] - Lilili Yabbay or Moonwalker [performance unit] They also switched units during caratlands for fun but it shows how talented they are.
@jadev1644 жыл бұрын
I think Seventeen generally focuses more on vocals and performance in their songs so Hip Hop doesn't get as much spotlight. But even then, the overall style of the Hip Hop unit isn't the super hardcore rap. They experimented with grittier styles before debut and still write harder stuff for concerts if the concept they want to portray asks for it but overall they gravitate towards a more chill rapping style.

I was thinking while watching on how to answer all of your questions but I see on the pinned cooment that someone already did so~~ let me just say that I laugh so hard with the little diss on Western artists perf as if they're the best but nah xD Also, yes, they've done sooooo much that it seems they've been around for longer than they are. They release about 2 or 3 albums each year so don't be surprised with how many songs you haven't heard yet since you only checked a very very few so far. They were in diff variety shows (Weekly Idol, Idol Room, Knowing Bros, many more) while having their own variety shows as well (SVT Club 2018, Going Seventeen since 2017, IF series, etc.). And of course multiple concert tours and live stages.

Just one correction: The whole “There used to be 17 members but some left before debut” isn't entirely correct and a very commonly spread mis-information. Yes there was a total of 17 guys that were known to be part of the debut lineup at some point but never at the same time. Pledis started airing “SeventeenTV” back in late 2012/early 2013 as kind of a documentary like show online to broadcast the boys in training ect. At the time there was only 11 in the line up. As time went on and throughout 5 seasons, more boys were added while some left, all at various times. There never was a single moment when Seventeen had 17 members. The most they had was 16 when Jeonghan joined, shortly before Samuel left. Basically, I believe Pledis did at one point planned Seventeen to be a 17 member group but was never able to find 17 members that were a fit for the group so they eventually scrapped the idea but kept the name since they’ve been calling the group that since the beginning. So yeah, there was 17 boys who were a part of Seventeen at some point but never at the same time.

Can you react to Yezi - Mimew She's an underrated rapper who used to be part of a 2nd gen group called Fiestar. She came out with the song a month ago. Trust me you're not gonna get requests for her because she's not well known by the new k pop fans but it's a dope song and the video is creative but simple and chill/sexy.

This guide is pretty outdated, it has the basics but not a lottt of the things you need to know are here. 2019 and 2020 especially were very good years for SEVENTEEN, so it lacks a lot of information
