My theory is that they split their 1st full album in 2 mini albums since a lot of the music was getting leaked during their SYNK concert. I like this mini album but wish the b sides were more cohesive. If you rearrange this album and spicy album OR switch the b sides it’s not too bad and makes more sense

Yeah, all background information points towards aespa's 1st full album being split into My World and Drama. It was confirmed in an article today that Drama was originally intended as the title track for the 1st full album (originally slated for February 2023). I think the full album was meant to be "My World", with the tracklist being something like: 1. Welcome To My World 2. Drama 3. Trick or Treat 4. Salty & Sweet 5. Don't Blink 6. Spicy 7. Hot Air Balloon 8. YOLO 9. Thirsty 10. I'm Unhappy 11. You 12. 'Til We Meet Again

When I made an aespa playlist, I put hot air balloon and yolo in spicy and out salty and sweet (also added hold on tight) in drama. I personally didn’t love “you” tho😭 im sorry

rethinking about it and after seeing someone reordering the songs from each mini in a cohesive way altogether, the full album would’ve been fairly good. anyway i do hope too the full album will be smth like savage or just overall an exquisite production alongside the standard vocal greatness aespa gives bc if i get a full savage-like album (best mini ever) aespa will be the undisputed top gg in my book.

for me DRAMA as a title and the MV are so perfect to me but the album unfortunately lacks cohesion, felt really similar to when GIRLS came out where i love the title but the album is weak

3:00 lmaooo you chuckling at yourself trying to sing along took me OUT The second half of this album is literally so random, like..I was offended listened to those songs while looking at the Drama cover art 😂 and while I don’t think of the songs are necessarily bad, none of them are particularly good either. Drama has definitely grown on me enough to be in the playlist, but the others? Nope. And the audacity to sneak in Better Things at the end!! Your album reactions remain top tier.

I think they tried to pull a Girls with this mini. In Girls they transition to the real world. Here i think theyre getting over the trauma. Thats why theres a stark change in sound.

something has been missing from their music to me since girls… like since LSM left? the savage album made me SO excited for them and girls ruined the momentum to me. i love drama’s concept and styling and the title track was added to the playlist but the album is just not giving

I agree with some of the opinions that expressed swapping out some of the songs from my world with the others from drama. For example, hot air balloon and yolo would fit my world, while salty & sweet and probably I’m unhappy would fit the drama mini album.

I do agree that the main concept and the songs on This mini album are didn’t really connected as a one direction but overall those songs are not bad at all i actually enjoyed some ppl have to understand that songs not built easy they have to find melody and have to do good songs so u can’t just yell at them saying all songs have to be fit in drama concept 🤷‍♀️ My list for each song Drama 10/8 i enjoyed this title track 😊 Trick or Trick 10/10 bop ❤ Don’t blink 10/7 got a lot of time to grow on me 😅 Hot air balloon 10/9 melody is are fine but i find something annoying 😢❤ Yolo 10/7 they could do better on this track but okay got it ❤ You 10/10 masterpiece it’s my type of song they never fails to do balled songs ❤❤❤🎉😭😍🥰🙏🤧☺️🥹

to sum it all up we can agree: songs aren’t bad but put together on a mini is not good at all lol it feels sm sabotaged aespa from the start as even my world didn’t feel cohesive enough. but again ik these were scraps left from the aespa synk tour they had to get rid of atp lol, i hope their full album will be great like savage (jungle, rock, r&b, hyperpop, d&b etc.)
