As a hag Reveluv, I have to say Red Velvet's more weird earworm-y songs like Power Up, Rookie, and Zimzalabim all saved me during quarantine/lockdown. They kept my spirit up even when I was going through it. I will always appreciate their Red quirky side just as much as I love their Velvet side. i’m soo passionate about red velvet having the most perfect discography in kpop and as artists in general!!! like i’ve been listening to them since i was in middle school and i know every single song by heart every b-side and track, and i love all of them so much and their music never misses. they’re my most listened to artists along with my other favs txt!! i still can’t pick a proper favorite song or album, but -perfect velvet is one of the best kpop albums EVER -cool hot sweet love needs to be appreciated more i love that song sooo much - i do not get anyone that hates one of these nights its literally soo good and i don’t even care about ballads that much , so rv are my exception -cookie jar is one of the best japanese debuts, and aitai is soo cute -i also think the red is an underrated album, it’s so cohesive and all the tracks make so much sense with each other AND I LOVE OH BOYYY and i think the charm of rv is that all of us can have variety of opinions about their songs, sometimes some songs take time to grow on me and then they are my favorites sorry for the rant but i love red velvet and thank you for this video 🤍

Funny story about Last Drop. For whatever reason I decided to do my first listen of the cosmic album during a run. I usually go on 20ish minute runs but this album was so good that I just simply kept running to listen to the whole thing. Anyways during last drop when that drop hit after the talking part I physically felt myself levitating. Like I could no longer feel my feet hitting the sidewalk. Every single time I play this song I have to replay that drop like 5 times it's that good.

Finally some one made this! Great video and commentary, very witty and honest. I've always liked Red Velvet's choices so here are some thoughts: • Even though Happiness and Be Natural are good, I 100% consider 'Ice Cream Cake' to be their actual debut and 'Automatic' has never NOT been on their Top 3 title-tracks! It's so smooth, classy and makes me feel expensive 💅 'Happiness' era was messy anyways... • 'The Red' is still the best LP, but I think if the finale version of the original ReVeFestival has been released as a full album instead of a compilation, it'd be their only release to be proper competition - I still don't get why they didn't do just that... why make everyone wait so long for a new LP when you're dropping EPs back to back under the same name, seems like a huge missed opportunity. • Speaking of ReVeFestival, out of the original line-up, 'Zimzalabim' is my favourite. It's a bit more agressive than usual Red Velvet and sooo unserious, I just love it when RV goes crazy. And that BRIDGE... with the last chorus... UGH. LP and Parade cleared too. • I don't really get the hype for 'The Perfect Velvet'... I don't now why. I wished I liked it as much as everyone seems to like it, the songs are good, but I always felt like there is something missing in this album sonically - the songs just seem too empty, there's no warmth or fuzz. I feel the same about 'Chill Kill', but I actually like it a little better. • They need to get SERIOUS about their Red side again.. 'Dumb Dumb' has been their best Red title-track for ages, and just best overall too. As soon as it came out I was like "it's gonna take long before they can top this" but enough time has passed!! 'Russian Roulette' was close but not silly enough! 'Rookie' is silly as it can be, but not strong enough! Someone do something! (I love all of these by the way) • As far as lead singles go, their velvet side always slays and is the most consistent. Be Natural, Automatic, One of These Nights, Peek A Boo, Bad Boy, Psycho, Chill Kill, ..., all bangers. Some of their most monumantal moments come from their Red side though. • All in all, Red Velvet has curated one of the most interesting pop careers for themselves: great voices, amazing concepts and songs. Girlgroup royalty, no less. Out of their EPs, I think Feel My Rhythm and Rookie are the best - besides Ice Cream Cake, I haven't really been able to enjoy any of the others... -. Feel My Rhythm is perfect, it has no skips and the visuals are one their strongest. For title tracks my Top 5 are: Automatic > Dumb Dumb > Bad Boy > Russian Roulette > One of These Nights - I like all of their recent stuff too, specially 'Chill Kill'.

To be honest, Red Flavor paved the way for Power Up. Like, the success of Red Flavor, which is still to this day Red Velvet's biggest hit in South Korea and Red Velvet's Top 3 biggest hits globally along with Bad Boy and Psycho, made South Korean people hype up for Red Velvet's next summer song, and it exploded right at the moment Power Up was released.

Love the video, I'm afraid SM tend to pick the wrong songs to be the title, Cosmic being a case in point, is the song good, hell yeah, but is the storyline relatable, hell no. Compare that with Night Drive, which most people can relate to. Night Drive is one of Red Velvets greatest modern songs in my humble opinion.
