Better than i could have hoped for. The strategy, the comebacks, the mind games, flawless execution, everything was in this best of 7. Korea deserved to win but Thailand made it very close showing that they are not second by much.

Kishan rai They are actually not second at all. I would say: The better team who adapts wins here. Overall TH vs KR was 6:4 for TH, but they lost in the finals, meaning KR are the best mental and strategical /reflective team.

Zirob but by the virtue of losing where it meant most to win Thailand did become the second team. In this whole series korea decided how the game will be played while Thailand was reactive relying on team fighting prowess. Look at the drafts. The no mage game where they funneled all gold on violet, the all adc jungle ban,not banning superman and taking teemee. Yeah Thailand were beating them at their game in some rounds but they were still playing on korea's terms. Thailand i feel were complacent and didn't bring any trump card or special strategy to target korea with or they tried but couldn't find any. So they are second. Also korea captain said before finals that they figured out Thailand playstyle and will counter them winning the series 4-0 but that didn't happen. But you have to wonder whether they were just probing Thailand for weakness in semifinal saving their best for finals.

Cezareus Philip eh.... not really. Most pro players don't get to play superman, not even in ranked much less in final of world cup. Also both of the team knew what was coming and had a counter built in team composition to shut him down. After both of the team failed to utilize him properly. They just didn't want to take risk of playing him when both the team in final showed that they can shut him down. We tried that in ranked on red side not banning superman looking to play him or counter with skud if they pick him up. And they did. And I as krixi got man handled under the tower. Same thing against violet. He never fought skud 1v1. Only time he bothered with skud was when our skud dived backline and he peeled for his carries making sure we had no chance to recover as our own carries did not had an good early or mid game thanks to him.

These team probably can't utilise supes properly probably due to the players playing him are solo laners. As they aren't the type to go for map roaming. Or Maybe your isn't tanky enough as those teams have heavy tanky composition to counter supes. Well, but still supes is a very powerful character, deserve ban, and maybe the only way to counter is by having a very good mindset kinda play. And as you can see, the Korean sacrifice Supes in order to get Teemie because they are really good playing it. Thailand on other hand, chose to go with heavy tanky composition to counter supes and completely shut him up whenever he tried to go roaming. That's why I think that Supes is out of meta if your team really know how to handle him. And you're right that most pro player didn't get to play him so often but these team are very experience team and surely played out their role wisely.

Why not fair? It's all' about deciding who deserves the finals. Taipei wouldn't have deserved it. China maybe, but they had some lack sometimes. Korea overall was perfect, got rekt by Thailand, huge mental brealdown+fear+stress+fatigue (One series more)+ losing 2 drafts ahead

Loser's bracket was there to ensure that teams going to final are the two best teams. But you will have only one final. It is implied in the word itself. Also seven games in a row are very good sample size for a tournament. Sorry but i am giving this one to korea. They even were the underdogs coming in this but they bounced back and flipped the script became favorite. Lost three in a row again bounced back reverse sweeped Thailand with both strategies and execution.
