I just bought a Casio Privia PX-160 a week ago from the Kraft Music, and I'm very happy with this purchase. I previously had a nice Roland RP102 and enjoyed playing it for about a year. This Casio at this price (638 USD after tax and delivery for the bench, board, headphone bundle) has nothing short of RP102 and is a very decent choice for an intermediate and upper-intermediate player. Highly recommend it!

Is there any ways that I can open the recorded song which is in csr extension on the piano recorder and open on the pc? Have problem to open or convert the csr format. Pls advise.

Love this piano. Could someone tell me what style of music he's playing from the moment he introduces himself until around 2:10? Is it just like a slow piano jazz? Specifically the little high note run at around 0:23. Is there a name for the because I really want to learn.
@JSGuitar805 жыл бұрын
It's basically just blues. There isn't, as far as I know, a much more defined term for it. You might also want to check out a style known as "stride" if you're into these kinds of slurs and such.

Is there any reason to choose the PX160 over the PX760, considering that the PX160 with the CS67 Furniture Stand and the SP33 pedals costs about the same as the PX760, and there is no intention on taking the piano apart and taking it out for gigs? Does the PX760 feel sturdier than the PX160 when mounted on the furniture stand?

if you were to buy something for your self and you had to chose between this model and the Roland FP 30 which would you get???
@zilym6 жыл бұрын
That's a really tough decision. From listening to various KZbin videos, the Roland FP-30 sounded slightly sweeter to my ears, but the difference was extremely small and highly subjective. In the end, I bought a Roland FP-25, mostly because it was on sale at the time. FP-25 is the same as FP-30 without bluetooth (but they add full wooden stand with pedals, including half pedaling!). It sounds great and plays like a dream, but I'm still interested in a cheap PX-160 because the FP-25+stand weighs a ton. PX-160 is 24.5lbs, while FP-30 is 31lbs (without stand). Roland's wooden stand with pedals probably weighs another 31 lbs, bringing you up to 62lbs -- too damned heavy! Roland's speakers are pointed downwards, so it really needs the stand. The wooden stand does not fold up and is unsuitable for traveling.

I'd like to hear this piano without the obvious extra speakers that enhance the sound. Why not just plug it in and play it, just like most of us do. Unplug the extra speakers.
@Ghonosyphlaids9 жыл бұрын
There's a place for demoing out of the built in speakers, but when you've got 8 minutes for attention spans, you give all the keyboards the same 'through the PA' treatment where all keyboard's colours can really come out.
@kraftmusic9 жыл бұрын
+Rich Cornwall We do have a pair of powered speakers in our video studio, but only use them as a monitor system for the performers. What you're hearing in this video is the direct output of the PX-160...so, similar to what you'd hear if playing through headphones or recording with line outs. Thanks for watching! -Dave
