I owned the 2nd gen. And I'd totally love to have this one. The sound quality feels organic enough for a digital drum. The wavedrum mini I still own it and it's the most underrated toy ever. Love korg drums.

hmmm only displays numbers so I have to pre program or memorize the numbers/patches? sounds great but not a great UX UI for changing through dozens of sounds on the fly. Wish it had a mic inpout so I could squish mud in a bucket or break glass and have it playable... LOVE it though.

can you set 2 up together - like congas with variable sound mixes between each?

Online. They won't ship it to you? Any one of these places like Sweetwater or Kraft music should ship worldwide. Even Ebay should be able to ship most things to you. Amazon claims that they can ship things internationally and you can buy most anything on Amazon.

Yep, I got mine online (eBay) from a Tokyo based seller, best price (worldwide), painless, delivered 10 days from order.

Awesome ! Can we add our own loops apart from the factory stuff? Is there a way to assign different built in sounds on different areas of the drums? For example hi hats on right side & Kick on left side & have snare in center.Is it possible to customize?
@thebmxband1t7 жыл бұрын
TriumphinChrist for sound assignments yes i think you can edit that in with practice. With regard to playing your own loops, yes but you can bring them in using the AUX input, theres no way of storing your loops onboard, and say an iPad with your favourite looper app or background loops. A Korg Kaossilator pro is a superb accompaniment to this. If you put output of wave drum into KAOSS pad then you effectively have infinite looping! Hope that helps Jb x

I was planning on buying some brushes for mine, but this vid says I should also buy a new head. Will I be disappointed if I try them with the standard head?
@BradfordGuy5 жыл бұрын
It was played here with the factory head. Sounds great to me. I am sure there are some subtleties to be gained from a coated head, but not necessary for anyone less than an expert.
@nigelmagoo5 жыл бұрын
The head it comes with is more fibrous, and will eventually break down with abrasive playing techniques, but it's also more sensitive.

How can this beast NOT have MIDI out? :(
@xanderking71044 жыл бұрын
I thought the same. I guess the internals of the Wavedrum don't reply on MIDI for anything, it processes complex sensor/mic data straight into an audio signal so creating MIDI data from that same input would be an extra step. It would be so nice to have e.g. MIDI channels for (1) main skin hit (2) main skin press and (3) rim hit - I think I would have bought one by now.

Having never used an instrument before broadcasting its potential world wide is extremely disadvantageous to viewers not to mention the manufacturer

Interesting percussion. But if stand is non-flexible, it is bad, cause percussion on that height, while you sit, should be lean forward, not to you. Like djembe
