im still deciding if i should get this for my gigs. currently use my Motif ES 8. thing weighs like 80 pounds and is dinged up. since this uses mostly motif sounds and weighs 11 pounds sounds much appealing.

Hello Aleks, Yes, what you're describing is perfectly normal. When scrolling through performances, you'll find that some of these performances incorporate different splits, layers of sounds, and appregiators. If you're scrolling through individual sounds or "voices" the arppegiators typically won't turn engage unless you choose to do so. MM6 is going to have more sounds to choose from, and those sounds are from the original Motif workstation keyboard. The DGX640 has 88 full-size weighted keys and on-board speakers. So, I guess it depends on what you're looking for in a keyboard. I'd probably go with the MM6 for music production and live performance. You'll need to take the USB output of the MM6 and connect to the computer. You'll also need to take audio inputs of the MM6 and connect to audio inputs on your soundcard or interface. Nice Video Man! I bought MM6 i came with Cubase. I also have FL, Three things: 1) I want to record the keyboard on Cubase which Interface/Hardware should I get? 2) Should I go for MIDI Controller as Interface/Hardware or MM6 itself is MIDI Controller(I mean does MM6 works as MIDI Controller 3) I play in church, Can I play sounds in FL on my MM6 for that which Interface/Hardware

Individual sounds typically won't engage the arpeggiator…however, guitar sounds would be an exception to that. When you call up a guitar sound, the MM will select an appropriate arp to simulate the strumming pattern of a guitar. Motif maybe, mm6 is very lightweight and has a plastic shell I don't think it would stand up to much on live gigs, although an excellent home machine for the price tag.

@9322002898 MM6, man. MM6 has better keys and the leads are great! The yamaha's pianos are better than juno di piano. But it deppends your way to play. But if were you, I would get MM6 without thinking twice. Soyy for the bad english, I'm a brazillian musician (for 12 years). I hope i helped you in something.

Here we go again. I thought this was a Synth not a piano. You play well, but what we want to hear, is the 'SYNTH' sounds, a few seconds each. So all I get from this video is, I can play piano, guitar and organ. Not intrested. Thank you. I'll save my money thanks.
