My friend and I drove around in Germany 15 years ago with 15" subs blasting windows rolled down with this tune on the stereo. Good times. Still have some minor hearing loss. Worth it.

Kraftwerk is like the daft punk of your parents if you were born like in mid 80's just imagine what the next generations will think of daft punk.. love the pyramid and the robot suits and mix mashed songs they come up with live..

20 years after this TOTP was aired, Florian Scheider has passed away at age 73. I don't know if COVID-19 was the one that killed him. I just saw the news today. R.I.P.., Mr. Scheider. The world of techno music will be surely missed.

Kraft week like to make songs about things which have a very precise style, especially the presentation of them (Tour de France, German motorway system, the Trans Europe Express etc). Each Expo has a very distinctive styling and branding, so when one was held in Germany, it seemed a perfect fit for Kraftwerk to do the music associated with it.

Except Kraftwerk came up with this whole style of music by themselves in the early 70s before anyone else got the idea. Daft Punk is cool, but too many of their songs only start sounding good after they were remixed by other people, how come they hardly ever make a good sounding song the first time, huh?
@furjock16 жыл бұрын
well, except that Kraftwerk invented the genre. and daft punk are mere wussies in comparison. So, it's like saying Jimi Hendrix is the Green Day of your parents generation.
