I love this version most, because it builds itself up to that peak at the end where it's just that voice singing "Man. Machine. Semi human being." ... doesn't come across as powerful in the Katalog.

This has to be the best version, and I'm a bit sad there's not clean version without the cheering, but the closet I can get is The Catalogue remake, the only difference is the voice, which doesn't hit the same, but that could down to being because of the way the voice was modulated between the two versions. Not to mention, The Catalogue version is shorter, it only does the "Man Machine" build chorus two times, here, it's done four times, a small thing, but Catalogue feels short without that length.

I was born in 1984. The original release for "Man Machine" was in 1978. In 2021 (and even before that), in a time where concerns over what automation and AI means to the future of humanity, jobs, etc., how prescient was this song?!?! Also with all the electronic feeling of Music... Kraftwerk are truly pioneers of electronic music, not only on a technical level but also on the merging of the technical soundscape, that technical evolution of what electronically generated sounds can achieve, with the human feelings and sensitivities that those technically achievements implicated in real life.
