Im still watching but just thought id say im appreciating the commentary alongside the gameplay very much. As a returning player I have forgotten a lot of fundamentals and thought processes and ill say it is a big help to relearn and again understand scenarios in OW.

Something that helped me climb out of diamond to masters was reviewing my own gameplay of a loss before starting my gaming sesh. Helps you build awareness / game sense :) I also put in 30 mins of aim training everyday for a while until I felt like I was consistent.

Listen guys honestly if you want to climb as a dps just hit your shots without dying… game sense will come with time. 1) hit shots 2)don’t die so you can pewpew and kill more 3) put in more time/games! 4) once you learned fundamentals it’s really just improving mechanically so you can be consistent enough to climb!

As much as this is fantastic content for someone who's in Silver 4 right now to watch and learn from, I literally can't help but feel salty watching it. The amount of times I had someone like you in my games (usually on the enemy team) just absolutely demolish me, my confidence and my team - just feels fucking bad man. Literally yesterday I had a Soldier: 76 on the enemy team who did 20K damage and got 50 kills while barely missing a single bullet, meanwhile no one else on his team was even close to that (

Outside of really precise very long ranges (like trying to headshot an unaware widow), you shouldn’t be bursting shots on soldier. You should be building muscle memory by moving the mouse down a bit while aiming to control the recoil. You should however stop shooting for moments, but it is mainly about trigger discipline, and resetting the recoil is more or less a bonus. If somebody shifts in a way your brain wasn’t prepared to hit, for whatever reason, stop, flick, and start shooting again. Don’t keep holding while you readjust. That’s most of the “bursting” kragie does.

Also the burst is like 4 shots, though that won’t actually help you. Go into a practice range and feel when the recoil starts. Internalizing that timing between when you press M1 and need to start aiming down (or in bursting case, stop shooting) is what matters.

Matchmaking is awful right now for new accounts and even low ranked players due to the decay that higher ranked players experienced. My friends in gold have told me they get matched against top 500 supports playing dps or GM dps playing tank. It feels like a coin flip with every match you get because you have no idea what your teammates or the enemy teams true ranks are.

So i was grandmaster in OW1 with Dps hitscan mostly and i wanted to play new roles this OW2. When playing support i played against some of the worst teams and players i have ever played in my life. Probably noobs or really low ranked players. And next game i get matched with 2 top 500 players. It was actually insane and the worst thing is that you cannot improve your gameplay because there is no consistency. The only thing you can practice is your aim.
