Thank you, Kraig, for taking me with you. I haven't been able to hike for ten years and it is my true love. I miss it so much. Even when I hike in person, I am a silent hiker; I want no chat, just the wilderness to speak. You take me where I cannot take myself. Bless you and all your journeys.

I went to Grindelwald around the same time. It was my first time outside the U.S and was an experience that I will never forget. The grass was green, the air was fresh, and the water was clear. The view of the mountains was absolutely stunning and I was mesmerized by how massive they were. One of my favorite destinations while there was mount Schafler in the eastern part of Switzerland from the top I was able to see Germany and Liechtenstein and the town of Apenzell. Hope to visit Switzerland again in the future.

@@TheeJaneDoe Ah ok, yes i understand. I've been in the swiss alps a few times as a child but now when i see the videos of switzerland it looks the same thing over and over and nature looks very minimilastic there : grass meadow, rock mountains, snow and sky. I do feel a lack of ecosystem diversity that make it a bit boring, like a golf course, if that makes sense. Still looks awesome but i can see how one could get bored with it.

Well I've lived in Switzerland almost all my life. I'm extremely familiar with the area you visited and I must say, the perspective you offered not only from the drone footage but also the trails, makes me look forward to next year when i once again return. Yes, day hikes are great, but all the crowded cable cares and gondolas may offer your legs comfort, however it's mentally draining. What you accomplished is seeing the off-track places, away from the tourists in the middle of one of the world's most visited places. Also the food shots.. damn, no idea who you made that look so good. Fantastic job. Thank you my friend.

Amazing work Kraig. We just watched the first few minutes and we are already floored. Looks like you are slowly transitioning into becoming the king of this niche Lo-Fi Hiking genre. We really appreciate the kind of effort you put here. Its not easy to find a vantage point, set up the camera, frame and compose, walk forward, walk back, pick up the camera and the do it all over again. It requires a lot of physical strength and so much more mental strength. We are a couple doing this and we still struggle at it. Hats of to you for doing this all alone. More power to you. Keep them coming. Love from India 🙂🙂

I was in the Swiss mountain military in the 1980's, I can give you a lot of places in the Swiss alps where you won't see anybody away from touristy places, some places so beautiful the Natives will actually not telling tourists about them to keep them for themselves. Lived in Mürren around 2015, Maloja 2010, . Advice when hiking alone in Swiss Mountains get a REGA/Air Glacier Swiss rescue helicopter membership-sponsor, and the numbers to call, get a working cell phone and extra batteries, also Swiss Alpen club membership and their maps, you can stay at a Swiss Alpen Club SAC hut for around 60Franks+2 meals and clean dormitory. When interested in more advanced Blue Hiking would be Grindelwald to Schreckhorn passing the Schreckhorn Glacier staying at SAC Schreckhorn hut.

...that was great, Kraig - I loved the serene flavour of the trip, with so much landscape and meditative music, but I'm also completely with what you said at the end - about how touristy and easy accessible the Alps are, and also that you might move to a more social and fun oriented traveling and filming... creative constant uneasiness, pushing forward, feeling restless - fantastic qualities, and I don't think that its a risk - it might be the bigger risk not to change... followers who want to be with you long-term will also support and want to see you change... we all move and grow on our journeys through life, and if we don't, it becomes boring, and a bit sad... we are not made to stand still, at any achievement... keep on changing, Kraig! xx

Hi Kraig, it was a pleasure to watch my “home” through your eyes. You’ve certainly picked the two busiest and most touristy hikes in the Jungfrau Region😅 There are cable cars everywhere in the Bernese Oberland, or in Switzerland in general, and you can use them to your advantage for day hikes. Just take one up above the tree line, hike 20 or 30km, and ride another one down back into the valley. You can use pubic transport to get to almost any place, and back home again in no time. There is no need for car, which is fantastic. Hope you’ll be back one day for some more hiking in this amazing region, there is so much to explore without the crowds! Looking forward to your new style of videos with more interaction and jokes, just like you’ve mentioned at the end of the video. Kind regards from Interlaken!

Hey Stefan, I found Kraigs video because I am planning a hiking trip to the Jungfrau region in a couple of weeks (October 4-7). I will hike solo and tent along the way. was planning to take the train from Zurich then start hiking in Interlaken>schyngee platt>bachalpsee>schwarzhorn>gletsscherschlucht rosenlaui>meiringen. then take bus and train to Vals where I meet a friend on Friday. It will be my first time in Switzerland. I will bring a 4 season tent & winter camping sleeping bag & gear. I expect cold conditions but hope the hutte's are open for lunch and dinner along the way, so I don't have to carry too much food. Does this seem like a good plan? Or would you recommend anything else? thank you. Steve.

I like your videos because they are simplistic and not too saturated with self or things. This enables a shift of focus to realism of what nature is. This is inherently relaxing and inspiring. I hope you do not completely stop this type of work. In any case wish you luck in whatever you pursue.
