Just saw a report that the Firebirds are already practicing in Hershey and getting prepped despite the other series not even being over yet. They’re definitely getting ready for the finals.

Continuing on the John Hayden hype train. He scored CV first ever penalty shot goal this year in the regular season against Ontario. Max McCormick had the first penalty shot attempt last year against SD Gulls

Pavel Brendl! He was a beast with the Hitmen in the WHL. Remember him flirting with goal a game numbers, but that era of the Calgary Hitmen had several top 10 draft picks that didn't perform to expectations. I'm thinking of Brent Krahn and Kris Beech along with Brendl.

No way they trade Shane Wright without having their hood thoroughly winked whilst having their bams boozled beyond comprehension and their flims unphathomably flammed.

Should the Kraken-Canucks rivalry called the Pig War Rivalry?

So, I know your little research project you were looking at only top-4 picks, but if you drop down just 1 spot, to top-5 picks... Cutter Gauthier, a #5 pick, was traded just this year having played ZERO NHL games.

Oops 1 game... You did talk about him. Lol.

10:50 I looked this up last year. Al MacNeil won the Stanley Cup with Montreal in 1970-71 (but was only head coach for the second half of the season) and then won the Calder Cup three times (71-2, 75-6, 76-7) with the Nova Scotia Voyageurs.

MacNeil didn’t speak French so the Habs moved on to … Scotty Bowman

Follow-up: there are 5 GMs who have won both the Stanley Cup and the Calder Cup. Keith Allen is the only one who won the Stanley Cup first (SC in 1974 and 1975 with the Philadelphia, CC in 1978 and 1979 with the Maine Mariners).

The only guy who went from ELC to 9+ is Marner. Only the Leafs are that stupid. Beniers getting $4m even being a possibility is the reason Hakstol is gone
