Great video for a rookie like me, 90% of the people that I have met they brag about how long they’ve been fishing “oh I been fishing all my life so I know what I’m saying” and that’s great but I’m 61 years old rookie that never had time fishing cause of my profession and my dad was also too busy working to teach me any hobbies. Thanks to technology we can learn much faster nowadays about anything thanks to videos like this, you have taught me so much about fishing, all the do’s and don’t all the tricks and how to have fun catching Bass. Now that I’m retired I can go out Bass Fishing, which is my passion now, I used to dream about it and be disappointed cause it was only dream, now it’s all a reality thanks for people like you that cares and like to make it easier to people like me. Since switching my crank rod to moderate power I’ve noticed I get hung up less. The soft action allows the bait to deflect off cover better than a fast or extra fast action in my opinion.

Your videos help me a ton, but thank you for putting in the effort of explaining these intricacies of the crank bait. I've yet to catch on a crank yet but where I fish I can't really use them effectively, too much crap in the water. But the advice you give will come in handy when I'm actually on the water and not bank fishing with heavy crap in the water. Good video

when i get jumpy bass and im unsure about my hookset, i usually can feel when he is about to come up, so i put my my rod down and pull toward " i pull in slack and pull him in the direction he is already going so he cant jump up"where he is going to jump out so he cant and he stays down in the water instead of throwing my lure.

Thanks so much for the advice!! I actually fish crank baits really well, but I lose so many on the retrieval, so I’ve been trying to set the hook harder and harder. I’m definitely going to put your bonus tip to work when we’re out on the water tomorrow morning. If I bring in half the fish I lose, it’ll be a game changer!!

Ive caught some of my personal bests on crankbaits, but they happened to actually be where i saw a splash on the water, cast right on top of it, and the bass hit it immediately.

Have you made a jerk bait video of mistakes we might be making? I really like ur videos I have learned alot of things I been doing I been doing to fast or not letting it hit bottom but I really need help with the jerk bait I want to catch on jerk baits but it's just not working for me

I hear you about them being long. Thanks for the comment. I like to tell stories to back up my claims. You can always just watch my shorts they are under a minute a piece and provide quick straight to the point advice if you don't like the long videos.
