@Raymond_Legrasse3 ай бұрын
@@warmetalpacifist Yes, you can certainly do both. Cannabis was my companion for 8 years, I know what it's like to play a cassette tape or a vinyl record and being with her. Just in the case of Krallice, my personal opinion is that the listening has a better effect than the substance itself.

Once again, utterly amazing. I wanted to put off listening to this until I could get it on vinyl, but that's a mistake with this band. But man... another masterpiece.

This feels like an Evolution of their sound... A mixture of the Colin's Next Level Icy Keys from the Crystalline Exhaustion album (which i love) & some of the Early albums Aesthetics... As well as some New Territory... Album of the Year... The track listing flows perfectly... the Drums (Lev is Phenomenal) & Bass are Out of this World... This new direction is Killer... Love the Instrument swapping but its always Cool when Colin & Mick are on Gtrs... (as well)... Hope it continues (3 Guitarist/3 Bassist) etc The Experimentation/Uniqueness of Krallice' Music is like Water for a Dehydrated Person... New album is already up there as one my favorite Krallice albums Crystalline Exhaustion Prelapsarian Mass Cathexis 2/The Kinetic Infinite Dimensional Bleedthrough Psychagogue Krallice Ygg huur etc *Your Passion for Music & Generous Nature... given your Energy, Time & Knowledge is Beyond Cool Didn’t except u to answer my questions so Freely/Kindly... (One of the rare ones that actually deserve what they got & so much more... Because of their Artistry as well as who they are as Human Beings) Theres still Defeated Sanity, Pyrrhon/Scarcity & Gorguts to come (Amazing Year)

ack i love this band so much, truly one of the best experimental metal for many years now. my favorite albums have to be the earlier era up until hyperion but i do love everything else. i just wish the synth they use these days didnt sound like old sci fi mystery tv sound tracks from the early 90s.. the atmosphere just sounds very different than it used to. its like krallice traveled back in time to the 90s in a time machine to make a metal soundtrack for a stargate sg-1.. and up next is unsolved mysteries! its a different flavor.. i just miss old(future) krallice
@Raymond_Legrasse4 ай бұрын
My favourite era is exactly what you mentioned, but a band has to be evolved. Plus, let's not forget, they have no comfort zone, clearly a sign of respect to their fans. It can't be otherwise, an artist is surrended to his muse, no matter what.

over the years, listening to Krallice made me get the conclusion that music doesn't have a meaning. In the sense that it doesn't need an external thing to measure it by. the experience is the meaning. that act of beholding an aesthetic piece of music is the meaning by itself. it doesn't need context, it doesn't need a subject matter. what is the lyrical theme of krallice ? who cares ! it's the transient subjective experience that we behold, that has value by itself. with no other external validation needed. why do you listen to Krallice ? I don't know, because I feel good ? There is no need for explanation, the subjective experience is the explanation and the meaning and the value together. Aesthetic mental qualities exist for no other purpose than themselves.
